Jenifer Allard began selling real estate full-time on Valentine’s Day in 2014 and says, “The date is appropriate because helping people buy and sell residential real estate makes my heart happy.” Jenifer has a 20+ year history as a mortgage lender in the Treasure Valley and has always enjoyed being part of the process of real estate ownership. She says, “I have been fortunate to work almost equally representing residential buyers and sellers. The majority of my work has been in residential resale but I have also helped clients build brand new homes, as well as helping a few purchase and sell investment homes.”
In 2011, Jenifer was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer that took her away from work for a few years and gave her the time to consider what she would do with the next chapter of her life. She’d always wanted to become a full-time Realtor, so she took the leap. Additionally, her mother owned several rental homes and a rental community when she was growing up so she began as a leasing agent and house cleaner at a very young age. She says, “This taught me the value of hard work and the importance of owning real estate. I enjoy sharing this because home ownership helps people create stability in their lives and can help them build wealth.”
Jenifer’s number-one goal in serving her clients is for them to know that they are her number-one priority when they are working together. “I always want them to consider me a friend and their real estate advisor after closing. I am never too busy for questions or to assist.”
Jenifer’s favorite part of the business is that she loves meeting new people and learning to see things from their perspective. “It reminds me every day how fortunate I am to be able to get up and have new experiences.” Jenifer’s experience in home mortgage lending gives her a unique perspective of the processes that are happening with her buyer clients, as they work with their lender. Understanding the stress they may be feeling allows her to better support her clients. “Negotiating the best position for my clients is one of my strengths because I analyze and discuss all possibilities with my clients so they are able to make the most informed decisions in this area. I think that all the years of analyzing individual’s circumstances to present them with the best loan possibilities have contributed to this skill.”
Jenifer studied for a year at the University of Idaho and was a Tri-Delta. She finished two more years at Boise State University with a background in Business and Biological Sciences. Currently, she’s working toward GRI Designation (Graduate Realtor Institute) and says, “This is important to me because the courses have given me additional skills and information that benefits my clients.”
As a native Idahoan, Jenifer has lived in the Treasure Valley all of her adult life and has called Eagle her home for the past 14 years. She loves the Treasure Valley because the people care about one another and she needs to be near the mountains and the rivers. “Nature feeds my soul!” She’s enjoyed volunteering for the Eagle Chamber, Rake up Boise, Paint the Town with Boise Regional Realtors, Habitat for Humanity and The Boise and Girls Club. She also participates and fundraises every year for Susan Komen –Race for the cure/Boise and is a founding member and yearly contributor to 100 ADA- nonprofit supporting other nonprofits. She is also an Eagle Chamber member.
When she’s not working her real estate business, she enjoys walking and hiking with her cocker spaniel, Daisy, and husband Mike, along the Boise River, in their neighborhood (and when lucky), the foothills or mountains. “I love a great historical fiction novel and I enjoy amateur artistic endeavors from beading and painting to drawing. I always make time for movies, local theater, great live music and relaxing with friends and family. Also, planning (sometimes just dreaming of) a new adventurous trip with my husband to the Hawaiian Islands or new places in the states and abroad is an ongoing part of my life.”
The Mike Brown Group is so excited to welcome Jenifer Allard to our team!
