Sarah Toppi , Realtor
Sarah Toppi has been a licensed real estate agent in Idaho since June of 2014. No stranger to the real estate business, she purchased her first home at the age of twenty-four and her first investment property ten years later. She says she chose a career in real estate because, “I really believe that home ownership is a major key to wealth accumulation and increased net worth. I love helping people attain this goal whether it is a first home purchase, a move up home, downsizing, or an investment property. I love meeting and working with amazing clients.”
When asked what’s her number-one goal in serving her clients, she responds, “I look at myself as a knowledgeable guide throughout the real estate process. I like to think of forming a team with my clients when we begin the real estate process and I am the coach. I provide valuable information and guidance to my clients to help them make the decisions that are best for them and I’m always available to answer their questions.” She continues, “I believe great customer service is taking the time to understand what is important to my clients, what their goals are and what they want to achieve. It’s my job to ask my clients the right questions in order to uncover what their true aspirations are. It is only by truly understanding their needs that I can help them achieve these goals.”
Sarah graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in Communications and a minor in Business Administration. She moved to Boise in January 2000 for a better quality of life and to buy a home “…since home prices in the San Francisco Bay Area were just outrageous, even back then. Six months after moving to Boise I was able to purchase my first home at a fairly young age. I love the quality of life and weather here in the Treasure Valley (except for the really cold December and January’s).”
After Sarah purchased her first investment property in 2009, she considered a career in real estate. Working in several different industries throughout her career has given her valuable skills in many areas applicable to the real estate industry. She says, “Eight years were spent working for Allstate Insurance and over half that time was spent traveling around the country as a catastrophe adjuster, helping homeowners recover after experiencing a major loss. I have traveled to more than thirty-five states and have worked claims from Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, to massive hail and windstorms and everything in between.”
All of her previous work experiences have given Sarah a very unique perspective and helps her better relate and communicate to her real estate clients - allowing her the opportunity to serve them better. Her role as a former catastrophe adjuster and writing repair estimates, along with working closely with contractors, has helped Sarah successfully work through and expertly negotiate every home inspection for each of her real estate clients.
When she’s not busy selling real estate, she loves to travel, both internationally and domestically. She also enjoys going to the local farmers market on Saturday’s and loves to cook with fresh ingredients. She also loves going to The Flicks downtown and says, “I was also recently talked into joining a bowling league and I love it! Also, being from Northern California, I fell in love with wine country and love to go wine tasting. I also love spending time with my husband, Craig, and our two Puggles (beagle/pug mix) Lola and Apollo.”
