Shelley Eggers , Realtor
Shelley Eggers has recently chosen a career as a full-time real estate professional. Her past experience as a Deputy Sheriff in the jail, as a stay-at-home home mother, and a Juvenile Probation Officer, has benefitted her in various ways. She says, “I am humble, kind, and forgiving of people. Everyone has a story and someway I will be able to relate, which is easy and natural for me. I have had the opportunity to make a positive influence on people of all backgrounds."
Shelley says her favorite part of the business is the people and the ability to connect with all sorts of people and to hear their stories. “I also love looking at houses, I always have been interested in all styles. Throughout the years that I have lived in Boise (since 1993), I have assisted family and friends with other realtors. My number-one goal in serving my clients is to eliminate as much stress as possible in the process of selling their home and finding their dream home."
Graduating from BSU in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration, Shelley has been POST Certified with the state of Idaho for Detention and for Juvenile Probation Officer. She has an intensive background in training for communication (verbal judo), court procedures, officer safety, risk assessments, interviewing for pre-sentence investigations, professionalism, personality assessments and several other topics.
Shelley moved from the bay area in January 1993 because her Aunt lived here and she wanted to “get my education” at BSU and be in the middle of nowhere (back then), it was a definite culture shock. She has resided in the south side, downtown area, Meridian, and the city of Eagle. She says, “I am familiar with all areas of the Treasure Valley and love the diversity and that I feel safe in every part of our community.”
When she’s not working, Shelley’s hobbies include trying new places to eat (a foodie), walking or riding the green belt, playing with her dogs, and organizing for friends and family. She also says she likes a cold cocktail on a patio in downtown Boise any day. She’s also busy with teenage girls as both of her daughters are attending Eagle High School. One of her daughters is involved in Poetry Slams and the other one is in volleyball. She loves yoga and is a beginner in hiking. She volunteers with the Women’s and Children’s Alliance when she is able and also enjoys reading and trying new things.
The Mike Brown Group is excited to welcome Shelley to our team!
