Activities throughout the year in Caldwell attract everyone to the downtown area. Each year in September, the city holds the Indian Creek Festival, featuring a variety of live entertainment across several stages, a cardboard kayak race, a rubber duck race, and a tug of war. Indian Creek itself has undergone a major revitalization. In 2009, the City of Caldwell restored the creek that runs throughout the city center, creating a network of added attractions, footbridges, and a pathway system that connects outlying neighborhoods, parks, and schools to the downtown core.
