April Events + Activities

April showers bring May flowers, but that’s not all April will bring! Even though Easter may be this month’s main event, you can take the midnight train to see Journey. And that’s just one of the many events you don’t want to miss!

How about heading to a bourbon bash with hundreds of rare and premium whiskeys to taste! Or check out a comic con celebrating all kinds of fandoms with an entertaining lineup of guest appearances.

An eggstravaganza, marathons, and a pet expo are just a few more of the long list of experiences to try!

Easter Events

Eggs, eggs, and more eggs! You can hunt for eggs, run for eggs, or have an egg painted on your face!

Hunt for eggs by flashlight, on the Blue, or at the Zoo! Take pictures with a famous bunny, or make an Easter charcuterie board– make the day eggstra special for your peeps!

Family Events

Idaho Talent Fest – Don’t miss this year’s Idaho Talent Fest, featuring a variety of performance acts. Hosted by radio duo Rick and Carly from 96.1 BOB FM, watch finalists perform on stage and compete for awards and cash prizes. The Idaho Talent Fest is presented by the FSHD Society and Aesthetic Eye, P.C.. All proceeds benefit those suffering from FSH Muscular Dystrophy.

Idaho Pet Expo – A pet-friendly event for you and your furry friends! This pet celebration offers pet adoption, pet food samples, petting zoos, and an appearance by nationally recognized animal expert, biologist, and television personality, Corbin Maxey!

Celebration of the Young Child – National Week of the Young Child will be celebrated with events connecting families and communities!

Stay Active

The infamous race to Robie is set for April 15th! If you aren’t already registered, you can put on your cheerleading hat and cheer on the racers as they run the toughest half marathon in the Northwest! If you were hoping to race but are stuck on the waiting list for Robie Creek, find your cadence in the Boise River Marathon + Half Marathon!

Festivals & Events

From bull riders to barrel racers, horse shows, and a horse expo, April is packed with all things equestrian.

Catch an indoor football game or connect to the outdoors through the experience of the Les Bois Film Festival.
