On December 1st, The Grove Plaza will be full of Market Vendors from 10:30am-2:30pm to celebrate the holidays! It's the perfect day to come out and take photos by the beautiful, light up, Christmas tree.
Vendors will be in the holiday spirit with beautiful decorations. Our Market Committee will be judging for the best booth so keep an eye out!
Don't let the cold scare you though! We'll have heaters around the plaza, and there are plenty of excellent, quality, unique products, produce and ready to eat food!
We'll have hot coffee, hot soup, and hot cider plus local wineries and breweries too!
FREE DAY - CLAUS 'N PAWS

Join Zoo Boise for Claus ‘N’ Paws, a FREE admission day on Saturday, December 1 from 10am – 5pm (last admission at 4:30pm). This is our way to thank our community for supporting the zoo and our wildlife conservation mission.
Santa Claus will visit the zoo for photo opportunities (for a small donation which benefits zoo programs). There will also be holiday crafts, face painting, and don’t miss the animal residents receiving their holiday gifts. Santa will be at the zoo for photos from 11am - 4pm (for a fee).
As much as we love pets, no pets are allowed inside the zoo except for ADA service animals. Companion animals are not allowed.
Mark your calendars for December 1st and come shop local businesses at the Sockeye Holiday Bazaar. There will be over 20 vendors participating that will be selling fun and unique items including but not limited to cute and original hand crafted items, decor, jewelry, clothing. Located at the packaging facility at Sockeye Grill and Brewery. Stop by the Sockeye booth for a 15% off food coupon and bogo beers! Follow us on Facebook to stay up to date.
MERIDIAN TWILIGHT CHRISTMAS MARKET

POLAR EXPRESS FAMILY NIGHT

ALL ABOARD! For the second year we are returning to the North Pole to experience the heartfelt story of The Polar Express. Enjoy Canyon County Historical Society's version of The Polar Express Family Night on Saturday, December 1st and Saturday, December 8th! This is one of our largest fundraising events of the year! Thank you for supporting Canyon County Historical Society!
Your family will have the unique opportunity to visit privately with Santa in the newly renovated 1942 Caboose at the Nampa Train Depot Museum. After your visit and portrait with Santa, make your way back to the Train Depot Museum to warm yourself up with hot cocoa and cookies. Pack your pillows and blankets to snuggle under the big screen as you view our featured presentation, “The Polar Express”.
This is a fundraising event and all ticket sales are $20.00 for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. Each guest will have a professional portrait from a local photographer. Parents are allowed to transfer their portrait allowance to other guests and/or their children to provide them with additional poses. We’ll all watch Ralphie beg everyone who will listen for a Red Ryder carbine action BB gun with a compass in the stock, and this thing which tells time. He’ll defeat bullies, decode secret messages, out-smart his parents, teachers, even Santa himself to get what he’s after.
There are two showings of A Christmas Story. This one is the all-ages show, so load up the Packard with the whole clan. If you’re looking for a pint or two with your Red Ryder, head to the December 13 show; that’s the 21+ show with beer & wine service.
Seeing the leg lamp in all its glory on the big screen at the Egyptian is going to be a great time!
Tickets bought online are $9 for adults over 12, $6 for kids 12 and under (price includes sales tax). Doors open at 6:00PM; all seating is open. If tickets remain on the day of the show, they can be purchased at the Egyptian box office for $11. When 150 tickets are purchased, payments will be collected and tickets will be issued for you to print out from this website and bring with you on the night of the screening. No admission without a ticket. If 150 tickets fail to sell, no payments will be collected, no tickets will be issued, and no movie will be screened.

This year’s Light up the Night celebration will feature a Torchlight Parade, slope-side Fireworks Show, Aglow on the Snow kids walking parade, and food & festivities for all ages in the lodge.
As the chairlifts close, you can stay warm around one of the plaza-level fire pits or head inside to enjoy food & drink. There is plenty of room on the balconies and expansive base area to enjoy the show.
4:30 pm – Chairlifts Close, Family Activities begin on Top Floor of Lodge
5:30 pm – Aglow on the Snow Kids Walking Parade, Torchlight Parade follows, and the Fireworks launch immediately after the parades.
