SUMMARY:Bam Jam
DESCRIPTION:The Summer BAM Jam Basketball Tournament Returns August 2-4\, 2024\nPresented by Idaho Central Credit Union \n\nTo get future updates\, sign up for our email list here. info.bamjamboise.com/email \nYouth teams and high school teams will compete on Friday evening and during the day on Saturday. No games will begin before 5:00 PM on Friday. \nAdult teams will compete on Saturday and Sunday. Final games should be done around 3:00 PM. \nFrequently Asked Questions\nAre the games officiated?\nYes! Every court will have a paid official. \nHow many players on a team?\nRosters allow for 5 players per team. \nCan I compete on more than one team?\nYes\, but ONLY if the teams are not in the same division. For example\, a player CAN compete in both the recreational division and the competitive division. However\, a player CANNOT be on two teams that are both in the competitive division. Players found competing on more than one team in a division will be removed from the tournament and the games they played in will be forfeited. \n*NOTE: if you play on more than one team\, your games may be at the same time. We DO NOT take schedule requests so you will need to make arrangements prior to your game.  \nWhat divisions are available?\nYouth divisions are separated by age and competition level. So it is pretty simple\, players need to be under a certain age during the tournament to be eligible. The level they want to compete at is up to each team. \nAdult divisions are based on height and competition level. Men’s 6’0 Over and Under with options for OPEN (the best teams)\, Competitive (middle level teams)\, or Recreational (teams that just want to have fun). Women have an OPEN and Competitive option. And each summer we do offer a Co-ed division. \nThe OPEN division is the top division and will feature the best teams in the northwest. \nTo learn more\, visit our Tournament Information page here. \nHow do I register?\nEach team will need a designated “coach”. This isn’t really a coach but the main point of contact for your team (Exposure won’t let us change the wording). They are also in charge of ensuring that each player on the roster meets the division’s eligibility requirements. \nSimply create an account (or login with an account you may have used in the past) and fill in your team’s information. Also please select Male or Female for gender unless you are playing in the adult co-ed division. There are NOT youth co-ed teams. But again\, Exposure won’t let us remove it. \nYou will need information for at least 3 of your players to register. You can change your roster later after you have registered by logging in and updated through the system. There is no charge for player changes as long you make them yourself. If you need us to make a roster change\, there is a $20 fee. \nWhat is the deadline?\nThe normal registration deadline is generally 2-3 weeks before the tournament. Check the registration page for specifics. If you complete your registration (signed up AND paid) then you are in. \nIf you wait until after the deadline\, you are taking your chances\, as spots will only be filled where available and with a $30 late fee.

SUMMARY:ATMOSPHERE - Tour De Friends Part Trois with HEBL & NOFUN!
DESCRIPTION:The world is a vastly different place than it was just a few years ago\, and Atmosphere’s seventh album\, Mi Vida Local\, reflects the ways in which the world\, and Atmosphere’s place in it\, has changed. The idyllic domesticity of their past few records has morphed into anxiety over keeping loved ones safe during turbulent times. Instead of bragging about backstage misadventures it’s about grappling with mortality. The easygoing collaboration between Ant and Slug has started to feel more like the life-or-death intimacy of two men trapped together on a lifeboat. \nAt times it’s a heavy album (“I might be the last generation of grandparents\,” goes a key line from “Virgo”)\, but it’s far from grim. There are jokes being cracked\, joints getting smoked\, a little trash talking here and there– after all\, it’s still a rap record. \nAnd Atmosphere’s never sounded better. \nAs the name implies\, Mi Vida Local is intensely focused on the place it was created– the southside of Minneapolis– where Slug and Ant work tirelessly in their “beautiful basements”\, refining their sound without interruption\, save for a handful of friends from the Minneapolis hip-hop community who showed up to contribute. A year of one-on-one collaboration resulting in an album that matches complex subject matter with equally deep beats– ones that show a clear lineage back to the psychedelic funk landmarks from an earlier era where America was going through a post-utopian hangover\, and prove that there won’t ever be a time where boom-bap beats don’t sound perfectly of the moment. \nMi Vida Local might be the best album Atmosphere’s ever made. It’s definitely the one they needed to make right now\, and one listeners need to hear just as urgently. If it’s sometimes an album about how the fight to find happiness never really ends– even after you get the house and the kids and the artistic freedom to make dad-rap records– it’s also about discovering that there’s happiness to be found just in fighting.
