This new leadership role—created in recognition of her profound impact on Idaho’s veterans—cements her legacy of service and dedication to ensuring veterans have access to the resources and support they deserve. \n  \nThroughout her career\, Cheldelin has been a driving force behind veteran advocacy\, leading the expansion of Joining Forces\, which now includes dedicated chapters across Idaho and an annual conference in Boise. She played a key role in launching the Idaho Veterans Guide and has been instrumental in statewide veteran suicide prevention efforts. Her hands-on approach has directly improved the lives of countless veterans\, from helping to secure funding for emergency needs and financial aid to organizing Honor Flight send-offs\, POW/MIA tributes\, and countless other efforts. \n  \nCheldelin is quick to credit her team at IDVS with emphasis on IDVS Director Mark Tschampl and her second in command Marisa McCarter. Equally important are the many organizations she collaborates with\, emphasizing that these achievements are the result of a united effort to serve those who served. \n  \nHer selection as Grand Marshal is a testament to her unwavering commitment to Idaho’s veterans and military families. As a leader in veteran outreach and support\, she embodies the values of service\, sacrifice\, and community\, making her a truly fitting choice to lead Boise’s Independence Day celebration. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nParade Participation\n\n\n\n\nBusinesses\, organizations\, and families are invited to enter and participate in the parade. Entries can choose to be judged and compete for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd places. Your hands can help by volunteering prior\, during and after the parade.\nVolunteers can fill many roles to\nensure the patriotic celebration is memorable and safe. \n\n\n\n\nLend Your Hands\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrate With the Community\n\n\n\n\nOur community is invited to come together to celebrate at the Idaho 4th of July Parade from Boise starting at 7:00am on Friday\, July 4\, 2025. You\, your family\, and others can start the day in Cecil D. Andrus Park for the Veteran Entrepreneur Alliance pancake breakfast. The parade starts at 10:00am. \nThe Idaho 4th of July Parade from Boise would not be possible without CapEd Credit Union\, Peterson Chevrolet\, Fox9\, Micron\, Ball Ventures Ahlquist\, and Preserve Idaho Values PAC for their important corporate sponsorship\, with thanks to CBS2\, KBOI Radio\, and Radio Rancho for being our media partners.
