SUMMARY:Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic
DESCRIPTION:Since its first launch in Ann Morrison Park back in June 1991\, the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic has become one of Boise’s most beloved annual traditions — and 2026 marks its 35th anniversary\, celebrated as the Scott Spencer Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic in honor of the event’s late founder\, whose love of ballooning still fills the park every year. \nEach September\, locals and visitors alike gather at Ann Morrison Park to watch the sky fill with colorful hot air balloons\, set against a backdrop of live music from Boise’s favorite local radio stations. Launches typically begin around 7:15 a.m. and run until about 9 a.m.\, weather permitting\, with balloons frequently drifting right over downtown Boise. \nThe 2026 event runs Wednesday\, September 2 through Sunday\, September 6\, and features a full week of activities: Kid’s Day with free tethered balloon rides\, the First Launch\, Sponsor Day paired with the not-to-be-missed Nite Glow Spectacular\, a Family Morning Launch\, and the Great Launch to close things out. This year also introduces the brand-new Inflatable Fun Zone at the Friday Nite Glow — 15+ attractions including slides\, obstacle courses\, a mechanical bull\, and more\, fun for kids and adults alike. \nFree to attend and open to the whole community\, the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic is a Treasure Valley tradition worth setting an early alarm for. \n📅 September 2–6\, 2026\n📍 Ann Morrison Park\, Boise \nWant me to tailor this into a shorter social caption or a full blog post format with the daily schedule broken out?

SUMMARY:2025 Smoke ‘n’ Fire 400
DESCRIPTION:The Smoke ‘n’ Fire 400 is a self-supported\, roughly 400-mile mountain bike race through some of Idaho’s most remote and scenic terrain\, with nearly 41\,000 feet of climbing across two-track\, gravel Forest Service roads\, singletrack\, and a bit of pavement. The route begins and ends in Boise’s historic Hyde Park neighborhood\, typically on the second Wednesday of September. There’s no entry fee\, no support\, and no prize money — just riders and the backcountry. September in Idaho brings clear\, warm days\, cool nights\, changing leaves\, and access to geothermal hot springs along the route. Live tracking is provided during the event for those following along from home.
