Launches typically begin around 7:15 a.m. and run until about 9 a.m.\, weather permitting\, with balloons frequently drifting right over downtown Boise. \nThe 2026 event runs Wednesday\, September 2 through Sunday\, September 6\, and features a full week of activities: Kid’s Day with free tethered balloon rides\, the First Launch\, Sponsor Day paired with the not-to-be-missed Nite Glow Spectacular\, a Family Morning Launch\, and the Great Launch to close things out.
