SUMMARY:Idaho 4th of July Parade
DESCRIPTION:Celebrating & Honoring Our Nation’s Founding Fathers & Mothers\nIn a letter to his wife\, Abigail\, John Adams wrote\, \n“The date will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance\, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade\, with shows\, games\, sports\, guns\, bells\, bonfires\, and illuminations\, from one end of this continent to the other\, from this time forward forever more.”\nMr. Adams wrote this one day before the public reading of the adopted Declaration of Independence on July 4\, 1776. \nAfter three years of not having a parade\, the patriotic celebration returns this summer. The 2023 theme is Honoring our Founding Fathers and Mothers. \nBusinesses\, organizations\, and families are invited to enter and participate in the parade. Corporate entries can choose to be judged and compete for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd places. Winning entries will receive $10\,000\, $7\,000\, and $5\,000 for their charities of choice.
