DESCRIPTION:The 51st edition of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Boise Roadster Show returns to Expo Idaho on Friday thru Sunday\, March 8\, 9 & 10\, 2024.\nPresented by Les Schwab Tires\, the show features many top hot rods\, radical customs\, wicked street machines\, hot trucks\, boats\, classics\, motorcycles and more. \nWe are positively excited to have special guest Chip Foose return in person to this year’s Roadster Show. The acclaimed builder\, designer and all around good guy is quite famous his hit t.v. show better known as Overhaulin’ that aired from 2004 to present. Chip attended his first Roadster Show in `04\, so this will mark the 20th year since he initially set foot inside Expo Idaho. \nAmong countless awards and titles he has received over the years\, Chip was acknowledged as Master-Builder at the 2005 Roadster Show when he and Ken Reister teamed up to create the “Impression” 1936 Ford roadster. This remarkable build swept the Ridler\, America’s Most Beautiful Roadster\, Boise’s Goldmark award\, among many\, many other special honors. \nIf you haven’t had a chance just yet\, be sure and read more about Chip and an amazing career on his website at Foose Design. \nChip will host a meet `n greet on Sat.\, March 9\, from noon till 6 pm. \nAs Idaho’s premiere motorsport’s experience\, the event will fill all three buildings at the Expo Idaho indoor facility. \nEvery entry that participates in the show wins an award. The top prize of the Roadster Show is known coast-to-coast as the Goldmark. The Goldmark will go to the one entry deemed “Best of the Best’. The Goldmark wins a cash prize\, along with an embroidered jacket and special award statue. The “Essence of Cool”\, Trendsetter\, Wild One\, Fire Rod\, Mighty Fine\, Tompkins Cup\, Jack’s Pick\, and more will also be handed out during the award ceremonies. \nA tradition at the Roadster Show every March\, the New family will also reveal an honoree for the Master-Builder award\, too. SUMMARY:45th Annual Easter Egg Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, March 30\, the Meridian Optimist Club will be holding its 47th Annual Easter Egg Hunt. It will be held at the Meridian Elementary School located at 1035 NW 1st Street\, Map Meridian. Egg Off will be at 11:00 a.m. sharp so get there a little early for a great spot! We invite kids ages toddler/special through 10 years of age to participate. \nThe field will be divided into four lanes\, one for each age group. There will be signage near the starting line indicating which age group is in that lane. \nAdults are asked not to enter any of the lanes with the exception of the toddlers. Adults are welcome to accompany the toddlers. \nThere will be marked “Laffy Taffy” with a sticker indicating 0-3\, 4-5\, 6-7 or 8-10. (Each lane is assigned a number) Take your winning “Laffy Taffy(ies)” to the prize table set up at the end of the lane you picked them up in to claim your prize(s). Make sure you are at the correct table by age group. \nThe hunt will begin when the fire truck and police sirens go off at 11:00 a.m. sharp! This is when the fun begins! \nThere will be complimentary hot chocolate\, coffee\, and bottled water available at the refreshment table located at the playground entrance. There will be a donation jar at this table and donations will be very much appreciated.
