Stroll through a festive landscape of quirky characters and creative displays\, all nestled in the vibrant autumn beauty of the Garden. \nWhether you’re visiting for a peaceful walk or joining us on a lively Harvest Days Saturday\, the Scarecrow Stroll is a perfect way to celebrate the season. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect During Your Visit\nFrom the moment you arrive\, the Garden becomes a playful celebration of fall. Here’s what you’ll experience during the Scarecrow Stroll:\n\n\nScarecrows Around Every Corner\nExplore imaginative scarecrow displays placed along meandering garden paths. Each one has its own personality\, story\, and charm. Some are humorous\, others artistic\, and some feel straight out of a fairy tale.\n\n\n\nLocal Creativity on Display\nEvery scarecrow is handcrafted by someone in our community—artists\, schools\, families\, and local businesses. This makes each visit unique and full of heart.\n\n\n\nAutumn in Full Color\nOctober is one of the most beautiful months in the Garden. Colorful leaves\, crisp air\, and seasonal blooms create a perfect setting for photos and peaceful nature walks.\n\n\n\nFamily Photo Moments\nStrike a pose with your favorite scarecrow. Whether you’re capturing a family outing or snapping selfies with friends\, there are plenty of photo-worthy moments throughout the stroll.\n\n\n\nVote for Your Favorites!\nAfter exploring the Scarecrow Stroll\, you can vote for your favorite scarecrow! Look for flyers and signs around the Garden with QR codes—just scan and cast your vote directly from your phone. The scarecrow with the most votes will win a Garden Friend–level membership\, and the winner will be announced once the Scarecrow Stroll concludes!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBe Part of the Stroll\nWe invite community members\, businesses\, classrooms\, and artists of all ages to design and build a scarecrow for display. This is your chance to show off your creativity while helping transform the Garden into a joyful harvest wonderland\n\n\nImportant Dates\n\n\nAugust 25: Application deadline\n\n\n\nAugust 29: Selected participants notified\n\n\n\nSeptember 29 to October 3: Deliver scarecrows to the Garden\n\n\n\nOctober 4 to November 2: Exhibit on display\n\n\n\nNovember 3 to 7: Pick up your scarecrow\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nScarecrow Guidelines\n\n\nFamily-friendly\, weatherproof designs only\n\n\n\nMaximum footprint is 3 feet by 3 feet\, with a height limit of 6 feet\n\n\n\nDo not use hay (straw is okay to use)\, glitter\, cardboard\, or live plants\n\n\n\nNo advertising or giveaways.
