SUMMARY:Benjamin Tod | The Knitting Factory
DESCRIPTION:Raw\, unflinching\, and deeply honest\, Benjamin Tod brings his brand of Appalachian folk and outlaw Americana to Boise’s Knitting Factory. As the voice behind Lost Dog Street Band\, Tod has built a reputation on hard-lived storytelling and stripped-down authenticity — songs forged from a life on the road\, busking street corners\, and writing with unguarded vulnerability. His music carries the weight of old-time country and folk traditions while feeling utterly personal\, the kind of writing that lands somewhere between a confession and a gut punch. For fans of artists like Tyler Childers and Colter Wall\, this is the real\, rough-hewn heart of modern roots music. \nThe Knitting Factory is the perfect room for it. As one of downtown Boise’s premier concert houses\, the intimate\, general-admission space puts you right up close to the stage\, with crisp sound and the buzzing energy of a packed floor. SUMMARY:Convergence Music Fest | Garden City
DESCRIPTION:JULY 18–20 at the Visual Arts Collective\, Garden City\, ID This July\, while the rest of the Treasure Valley sweats through another empty weekend\, something loud\, honest\, and worth showing up for is taking over the Visual Arts Collective. From July 18 to 20\, CONVERGENCE brings three days of music\, burlesque\, food\, and community to Garden City. It’s not a festival. It’s not sponsored. It’s not trying to sell you anything. Friday kicks off at 6pm and runs until midnight. Saturday and Sunday start at 3pm and carry the night to 11. Inside\, you’ll find a rotating lineup of twenty-plus bands\, including aka Belle\, Rollerdome\, Dedicated Servers\, Dirt Russell\, Porcelain Tongue\, Big Kisses\, and a long list of others who bring light to the Treasure Valley. Outside\, sets during sunset from Afrosonics\, Chief Broom\, and Shadow and Claw stretch music outside into the golden hour. This isn’t just a music event. Den of Sin is bringing its full burlesque and drag variety show. Boise Rockeoke turns the mic over to you with a live backing band. Ashley Rose Band threads jazz\, soul\, and Americana into something that feels like summer without sounding like a playlist. In between\, you’ll find food from local favorites like Sazon Puerto Rican Kitchen and Better Together\, plus vendors slinging art\, music\, and oddities—popup record shop from Modern Sounds\, The Snarky Swede\, Ghouly Treasures\, and a miniature music store from MARC among them. Real community orgs like Idaho Abortion Rights and Boise Trans Collective will be there too\, doing the work without the PR spin. This whole thing is unapologetically pro-LGBTQ+ and anti-racist. It’s designed to be both high energy and deeply chill—a place to move your body\, talk to strangers\, and escape the heat in good company. No velvet ropes\, no VIP sections\, no influencer panels. Just people. Just art. Just music. Tickets are $30 for the full weekend\, or $15 for a single day.

DESCRIPTION:Texas country and Red Dirt favorite William Clark Green takes the stage at Boise’s Knitting Factory for a night of gritty\, heartfelt\, guitar-driven storytelling. With a sound rooted in classic Texas songwriting and an edge all his own\, Green has earned a loyal following through standout tracks like “She Likes the Beatles\,” “Ringling Road\,” and “Hanging Around.” His live shows are loose\, high-energy\, and built on the kind of crowd connection that turns a concert into a singalong — equal parts barroom swagger and genuine emotion. \nThe Knitting Factory is the perfect room for it. As one of downtown Boise’s premier concert houses\, the intimate\, general-admission space puts you right up close to the stage\, with crisp sound and the buzzing energy of a packed floor. Located in the heart of downtown\, it’s surrounded by bars and restaurants — making it easy to grab dinner and drinks before the show and keep the night going after.

SUMMARY:Max McNown | Idaho Botanical Garden
DESCRIPTION:Rising country-folk singer-songwriter Max McNown brings his heartfelt\, road-worn sound to Outlaw Field for an evening of music under the Boise foothills. With a warm\, gravel-edged voice and an honest\, storytelling style\, McNown has connected with a fast-growing audience on the strength of tracks like “Wandering Eyes\,” “A Lot More Free\,” and “Better Me for You (Brighter Days).” His songs sit right at the crossroads of modern country and acoustic folk — intimate enough to feel like he’s playing just for you\, but built for a crowd singing every word back. It’s the kind of set that feels tailor-made for a summer night out on the grass.
