SUMMARY:Gary Numan w/ Tremours
DESCRIPTION:May\, 1979. It’s an ordinary Thursday evening\, which means it’s time for Top of the Pops. Amidst a zeitgeist of punk and disco\, the show suddenly appears to be interrupted by a transmission from the future. A luminous synth riff echoes out\, a beat drives on and up steps an otherworldly figure – part robot\, part alien – to deliver an enigmatic lyric depicting some kind of android existence in a dystopian future. It’s Gary Numan fronting Tubeway Army for their breakthrough hit ‘Are ‘Friends’ Electric?’. \nOf the millions that are watching\, few would’ve recognised that this moment foreshadows the shape of music to come\, from synth-pop to industrial and alt-pop. That\, however\, can’t stop it igniting the imagination of an audience that would swell into a devoted following. \nFast-forward to January\, 2021. Numan’s first single ‘Intruder’ (from the Intruder album) pulsates ominously as if it’s soundtracking an imminent threat. As austere synths loom like shadows and industrial beats are detonated\, the beguiling hook towers like a beacon in the darkness. It’s visionary and venomous\, with a narrative that imagines the Earth growing angry at mankind’s actions\, and more than willing to fight back. In the accompanying video\, Numan looks even more out of time than he did back in 1979\, like an intergalactic refugee fighting for his own existence. \nThose two songs show how Numan has consistently fought against the grain to stick resolutely to his creative vision. In a career that spans over forty years\, the music evolves and the themes change. But fans remain fascinated by Numan for the very fact that he’s so uncompromising. \nAny story charting four decades will be a mixed blessing of momentous highs and meagre lows. The achievements are remarkable for someone who never made any concessions to mainstream success. Seven Top 10 singles\, including ‘Are ‘Friends’ Electric?’ and the debut solo hit ‘Cars’; eight Top 10 albums\, three of which topped the charts; and huge critical acclaim\, most notably with the Inspiration Award at the prestigious Ivor Novellos. \nNaturally\, there were times when Numan was very much not in vogue. Sure\, there would be ripples of rediscovery but there were years when his increasingly conceptual albums were primarily embraced by hardcore fans. He wasn’t troubling the charts\, but audiences were still flocking to see him perform – almost every UK tour would include a sold-out show at the 5000 capacity Hammersmith Apollo. \nGradually\, though\, praise from Nine Inch Nails\, Prince and David Bowie led to a reappraisal of his work. And that has been magnified in recent years with Kanye West\, Lady Gaga and Dave Grohl citing him as an influence. \nAnd so\, a new narrative emerged. An unlikely icon returned to the top while making music that was darker\, fiercer and more inventive than ever. \n‘Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind)’ set the ball rolling by peaking at #20 in 2013\, its precise\, post-industrial sound delving into Numan’s experiences with depression. He started a new deal with BMG in 2017 and released ‘Savage (Songs From A Broken World)’\, an album which depicted earth as a barren wasteland in which humanity and culture had been largely crushed by the effects of global warming. ‘Savage’ hit #2 in the UK charts. \nHis next album\, ‘Intruder’\, presented a fresh but complementary narrative. It’s a philosophical examination of a potential future apocalypse: the planet can only survive by purging its inhabitants. ‘Intruder’ also hit #2 in the UK charts. \nNuman explained: “‘Intruder’ looks at climate change from the planet’s point of view. If the Earth could speak\, and feel things the way we do\, what would it say? How would it feel? The songs\, for the most part\, attempt to be that voice\, or at least try to express what I believe the earth must feel at the moment”. \nThe planet sees us as its children now grown into callous selfishness\, with a total disregard for its well being. It feels betrayed\, hurt and ravaged. Disillusioned and heartbroken it is now fighting back. Essentially\, it considers human kind to be a mistake\, a virus attacking the planet. Climate change is the undeniable sign of the Earth saying enough is enough\, and finally doing what it needs to do to get rid of us\, and explaining why it feels it has to do it.” \nPartially written and recorded during lockdown\, it’s no surprise that current circumstances have been assimilated into its themes. It’s especially evident in ‘The Gift’\, which evolves from a sparse introduction into a resonant Middle-Eastern sonic motif. It imagines Covid-19 as the first weapon that the planet deploys in order to eradicate mankind and once again flourish. \nWhile anger and vengeance rage in its opening chapters\, ‘Intruder’ charts a wider spectrum of emotions. ‘Is This World Not Enough’ and ‘A Black Sun’ exude regret and then despair that this fate could’ve been avoided. The finale presents a black-hearted double-bill to bring the curtain down on the tale. First ‘Now And Forever’ offers a hope of eternity in the end days during its theatrical intensity\, before the sparse\, sorrowful ‘The End Of Dragons’ ends on the chilling reminder that what’s broken can’t always be fixed. \nCollectively the album proves that Numan’s creative spark shows no sign of being extinguished. \nNuman toured the Intruder album at over 130 shows around the world\, finally ending in mid 2024 when he toured the US with Ministry. Since then he’s been back in the studio writing and recording his next (and 23rd) album\, due out in early 2026. This one looks at a near future world where humanity lives or dies based on the whims of an AI controlled system. He did take a few weeks out of the studio to play a major UK tour in the Fall to celebrate the 45th Anniversary of his ‘Replicas’ and ‘The Pleasure Principle’ albums\, both UK Number 1’s when first released. \nThat’s just a snapshot of the tale behind one of music’s most singular talents. The full story can be found in Numan’s critically acclaimed autobiography ‘(R)evolution’\, which The Observer described as an\, “exhaustive\, entertaining and often poignant life story.” What comes next will surely be just as intriguing. \n\n \n\nTremours\nTREMOURS formed in Los Angeles in 2021 by the duo of Lauren Andino and Glenn Fryatt. Late night jam sessions in the midst of lockdown uncertainty slowly transformed into TREMOURS creative partnership\, driven by the tension between Andino’s hazy\, drifting guitars and Fryatt’s urgent\, pulsating drums. \nSouth Carolina-born Andino plays with L.A. Witch and most recently LSD And The Search For God as a touring guitarist and vocalist. Fryatt hails from Portsmouth\, England\, and has toured as a drummer for artists such as Cherubs\, The Montrose Avenue and Ten Benson. TREMOURS sees them each newly harnessing and exploring their own creative impulses\, inspired by everything from shoegaze to jazz to electronica to literature to looking out at the sea. “Most of our songs center around loneliness. Not necessarily sadness\, but the comfort that you can find in being lonely\,” says Andino. “It’s when I feel most calm.”

SUMMARY:Everclear
DESCRIPTION:Everclear \nArt Alexakis – Vocals\, Guitar \nDavey French – Guitar \nFreddy Herrera – Bass \nBrian Nolan – Drums \nEverclear\, one of the leading alternative rock bands to emerge from the ‘90s\, celebrated their 30th Anniversary in recent years\, and founder\, vocalist and guitarist Art Alexakis has made it clear that he has no plans to slow down. Since forming in 1992\, Everclear has enjoyed a lengthy career by any measure\, spanning 11 studio releases\, including four that have been certified Gold or Platinum\, selling over 6 million records\, and achieving 12 Top 40 Hit Singles on Mainstream Rock\, Alternative\, and Adult Top 40 radio\, including “Santa Monica\,” “Father of Mine\,” “I Will Buy You A New Life\,” “Wonderful” and “Everything To Everyone\,” as well as numerous videos\, thousands of shows\, and various other accolades\, including a 1998 Grammy nomination. \nAfter the demise of his band Colorfinger in 1992\, Alexakis was struggling to make it in Portland\, where he’d moved from San Francisco. That extremely difficult personal and creative period was the crucible that forged Alexakis into the fiery songwriter heard on the early Everclear demos\, the Nervous & Weird EP (1993)\, and ultimately the World of Noise LP\, both released on the Portland independent label Tim/Kerr Records. The original 1993 release of World of Noise\, paired with the band’s significant efforts to break into college radio and the buzz they’d created within the Portland music scene\, attracted the attention of major labels\, including Capitol Records\, which signed the group soon after. Beginning with their major-label debut\, 1995’s platinum-selling album Sparkle and Fade\, and its massive chart-topping hit “Santa Monica\,” Everclear was soon a household name and catapulted into the masses\, thus allowing their impressive three-decade career to prosper and endure. \nIn 2019\, while being treated for an injury caused by a minor car accident\, Alexakis was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) and learned that he had likely been living with the disease for nearly twenty years. Since being diagnosed\, Art has donated one dollar from every ticket purchased for his performances to charities such as Sweet Relief Musicians Fund and National MS Society. \nIn 2022\, Everclear reissued World Of Noise as a special 30th Anniversary remastered\, deluxe edition\, making the album available for the first time on digital streaming platforms with 6 bonus songs in addition to its original 12 tracks. Adding to the celebrations that year\, Everclear released a commemorative anniversary video\, “Everclear – 30 Years Gone: A Retrospective\,” hosted by former MTV VJ\, current radio host and longtime friend Matt Pinfield\, and embarked on a lengthy North American Tour. One special stop on the tour\, back in Alexakis’ hometown of Los Angeles\, was recorded and filmed for a new live album. Live at The Whisky a Go Go (released in 2023 via Sunset Blvd. Records) features all the hits and hidden treasures from throughout Everclear’s extraordinary catalog as well as two new original bonus studio tracks. \nContinuing to celebrate their acclaimed decades-long career and provide the band’s dedicated fanbase with long-awaited content\, Everclear released their platinum-selling album Songs From An American Movie Vol. One on vinyl for the first time ever in 2024 via Intervention Records. And to mark the 30th Anniversary of the album that changed it all\, a special reissue of Sparkle and Fade will be released in 2025 including bonus tracks and Everclear will hit the road for an extensive fall headlining tour. \nIn addition to his thousands of Everclear performances over the band’s lengthy career\, Alexakis created and runs the annual Summerland Tour\, which features a package of popular ‘90s alt rock bands\, and he released his first solo album\, Sun Songs\, in 2019. More than three decades later\, Everclear’s enduring legacy and ongoing appeal as a live band continues. \nwww.everclearmusic.com \n\n \n\nLocal H\nLocal H\, the iconic alt-rock duo known for their blistering live shows and unorthodox two-piece setup\, are at the top of their game three decades after they first burst onto the music scene. Now\, frontman Scott Lucas\, who covers both guitar and bass (through an extra pick up in his guitar)\, and drummer Ryan Harding are gearing up to release their 9th studio album\, LIFERS.
Local H’s first major release was 1995’s Ham Fisted\, but it was their 1996 follow up album As Good As Dead that positioned the band as one of the elites of 90s rock. The radio hit “Bound For The Floor” emerged as a generational anthem and remains a staple on playlists around the country today. Their widely praised 1998 concept album Pack Up the Cats solidified Local H as a leader in the genre\, and the albums that followed reflected not only the band’s definitive character\, but also their relentless effort to give their audience as much of themselves as possible.
The past five years have been some of the busiest of their career. They released their 8th studio album Hey\, Killer\, numerous EPs and live records\, and a series of “Mix Tapes” featuring a surprising mix of cover songs. They’ve toured almost constantly\, with hugely successful tours with the likes of Toadies and Helmet\, including performances on Metallica‘s sold out stadium tour.
2020 will see the band on tour with fellow 90s alt-rock vets Soul Asylum in the Spring\, and their new album LIFERS will be out April 10 via AntiFragile Music. \n\n\n \n\nSponge\nSponge is an American alternative rock band formed in Detroit\, Michigan in 1992 by vocalist Vinnie Dombroski\, guitarists Mike Cross and Joey Mazzola\, bassist Tim Cross\, and drummer Jimmy Paluzzi. \nAfter shopping demos as the newly formed quintet\, the song “Neenah Menasha” caught the ears of A&R person Pablo Mathiason and the band signed with The Work Group (a Columbia Records subsidiary) in the fall of 1993. The following year\, Sponge released the now iconic\, Platinum-selling debut album\, “Rotting Piñata\,” to global\, critical and commercial success. \nAfter two top 10 hit singles\, several tours and live television performances\, including the Jon Stewart Show and Late Night with David Letterman\, Sponge followed up their debut with 1996’s “Wax Ecstatic.” This sophomore effort garnered a “Song Of The Year” nod from Rolling Stone Magazine for title track “Wax Ecstatic.” The album also yielded two additional top 10 hit singles and featured a guest vocal appearance from Richard Butler of the Psychedelic Furs on the song “I Am Anastasia.” \nSince then\, Sponge continues to release new music and keeps a near-constant tour schedule to the pleasure of their legion of loyal followers. \nThough continually led by Vinnie Dombroski\, Sponge’s lead singer and chief songwriter\, the band has seen a few line-up changes over the course of its 30+ year career. \nSponge currently features: Andy Patalan (guitar\, vocals) and his brother Tim Patalan (bass). The Patalan brothers were a natural addition to the band\, having previously engineered and produced the first three Sponge records at their studio\, The Loft\, in Saline\, Michigan. \nThe Brothers Patalan are joined by Kyle Neely (guitar) and recent addition\, former Taproot drummer Dave Coughlin.  Sponge’s discography includes nine studio albums\, four live albums\, and seven charting singles; 4 of which have made Billboard Magazines top 10. \nThe band has also been featured on several compilations and movie soundtracks over their decades long career. \nThey are best known for their prominent 1994 hit single “Plowed” (#5 on Billboard Alt Rock) as well as the 1995 hit “Molly (16 Candles)” (#3 on Billboard Alt Rock)\, the 1996 hit “Wax Ecstatic” (#10 on Billboard Mainstream Rock) and 1997’s hit “Have You Seen Mary”(#7 on Billboard Mainstream Rock) respectively. \nSponge is busy supporting their latest release and shows no sign of stopping for the foreseeable future. \nProudly representing the city of Detroit\, Sponge takes their well earned place as a part of Rock-N-Roll’s lengthy musical history.

SUMMARY:David Archuleta
DESCRIPTION:Since first stepping into the pop spotlight at age 17\, David Archuleta has embodied the kind of genuine star power that can’t be manufactured. After years of dazzling audiences with his radiant personality and phenomenal voice—a journey that’s included turning out multiple platinum-selling hits\, achieving global acclaim as a captivating live performer\, and emerging as an undeniable fixture on the pop-culture scene—the Miami-born singer/songwriter experienced a major personal transformation that radically altered his identity as an artist. As shown on his 2024 compelling single “Hell Together\,” Archuleta has dramatically expanded the landscape of his songwriting and devoted himself to making pop music with equal parts uncompromising emotion and exhilarating impact. \nWith his latest triumphs including winning the 2024 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist and landing a book deal for his forthcoming memoir\, Archuleta first moved toward the unfiltered truth of his new material with a revelatory writing trip to Toronto in late 2022. “It was a really magical week where I started exploring topics I’d never discussed before in my music\, like falling in love with a man and leaving my faith\,” says the L.A.-based artist\, who came out in 2021. “In a way it was scary\, but mostly it was thrilling to do what would have seemed impossible to the person I used to be. I realized I don’t have to hide who I am anymore.” Although he’d displayed a heartfelt candor on previous releases like his eighth album Therapy Sessions (a 2020 album that opened up about his struggles with anxiety)\, Archuleta ultimately embraced an entirely new element of unbridled creativity in the writing of songs like his euphoric 2023 single “Afraid To Love.” \nWhile Archuleta brought a sublimely dance-ready sound to songs like “Afraid To Love” and “I’m Yours” (a 2023 single whose video earned such illustrious awards as the Best Music Video prize at the Cannes World Film Festival)\, “Hell Together” centers on a stripped-back and soulful form of piano-driven pop. A gospel-inspired ballad that hit the top five on iTunes the day of its premiere\, the heartrending yet triumphant track took shape after a conversation with his mother following the publication of a People magazine article in which he discussed his faith transition. “I didn’t hear from my mom for a few days after the article came out and I was worried she was upset with me\, because she was very devout and always saw the church as a place of healing\,” he says. “But when we finally talked my mother said that she was stepping away from the church as well. She told me\, ‘I don’t want to be somewhere that my children don’t feel loved and welcomed. If you go to Hell\, we’re all going to Hell with you. We’re a family and we’ll always be there for each other\, in good or in bad! ’” \nNot only a powerful example of his newly elevated artistry\, “Hell Together” is an unprecedented showcase for the tremendous vocal talents Archuleta has cultivated since childhood. Raised in Utah from the age of six\, he first fell in love with music due to the influence of his mother (a salsa singer and dancer) and father (a jazz trumpeter). By his early teens he’d begun writing songs of his own\, and in 2008 he gained massive fame as the first runner-up on the seventh season of American Idol. After making his debut with his double-platinum single “Crush\,” he released a steady stream of albums and built an adoring following around the world\, touring in such far-flung places as Asia and the Middle East. In a truly unexpected and audacious move\, Archuleta left the music business in a moment of colossal success and headed to Chile to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for two years—then returned with a profoundly renewed sense of purpose as he dove back into his music career. \nAs he continues to unlock new levels of freedom in his music and beyond\, Archuleta has found an endless source of inspiration in his growing passion for dancing\, raves\, and festival culture. “EDM festivals and dancing have been a new way of feeling a sense of community and togetherness that I was worried I would lose\,” he says. “Feeling a oneness through music and dancing is so magical and therapeutic—it’s freeing and also creative. It has encouraged me to be more fearless and to not be afraid to express myself in more creative ways.” With his recent live experience including making his musical-theater debut in 2022 as the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat—and joining the likes of Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons\, Grammy Award-winner Victoria Monet\, and Lauv for the 2023 LOVELOUD tour—Archuleta routinely brings that open-heartedness to a high-energy live show that fosters an extraordinarily close connection with the crowd. Over the past few years\, he’s also deepened his relationship with his fanbase by bringing his effortless charisma and disarmingly warm presence to social media platforms like TikTok\, where he’s now spurred numerous viral videos with millions of views. \nNaming such eclectic artists as Tracy Chapman\, indie-pop singer/songwriter Maddie Zahm\, and Nigerian musician Tems among his current inspirations\, Archuleta is continuing to unveil more of his inner life in his songwriting. With his latest single\,“Crème Brulée\,” David continues to share new sides of himself and has hit a new chord with pop music lovers. Over the next several months David will reveal more new music\, he notes that uncovering his most authentic voice has involved finding self-assurance in unexpected places. “Growing up in the church\, I was taught to stand up for my beliefs and share them with the world\, which is exactly what I’m trying to do with my music\,” he says. “Even though I stand for something else now\, I still have that same level of conviction in what I do. I believe in being bold in my vulnerability and speaking the truth of who I am\, so that hopefully people can come away from my songs feeling like they understand themselves\, or others\, or just life in general a little better than they did before.” \n\n \n\nAlexandra John\nAlexandra John\, a brother and sister duo\, based in Los Angeles\, are not only real-life twins born on the same day but also musical twins. Their early bond has shaped their lives and led them to develop an infectious brand of Nu-Disco Pop that encompasses both feminine and masculine energies. \nTheir latest single “Taking Off\,” is all about flying free on your plane of life . The new bop calls for artistic freedom—breaking boundaries\, letting go of limits\, and fully trusting oneself. The single reflects Alexandra John’s time at LAAMP\, a nine-month music intensive in Santa Monica founded by Stargate’s Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Erikson\, highlighting their growth as artists and marking a significant step in their musical evolution. \n“Taking Off\,” has a music video to accompany the single that brings the song’s vision to life\, transporting viewers into the retro-futuristic daydream world of AJ Airlines\, where disco takes flight and further amplifies the track’s call to action. \nAlexandra John first made their mark in 2022 with the release of debut singles “Demons\,” “Strung Out\,” and “Lock Me Down\,” culminating the year with their highly anticipated debut EP\, Healing. In 2023\, the duo released two singles\, “Lonely Night” and “Love Like This\,” and have performed at notable venues across Los Angeles\, including The Hotel Cafe\, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang & The Peppermint Club. This new release is expected to solidify Alexandra John as one of the most exciting new acts in pop music.

SUMMARY:Marc E. Bassy’s 2025 U.S. Tour
DESCRIPTION:Marc E. Bassy has stepped into his own power as an artist. Revisit earlier projects like 2016’s Groovy People EP and 2017’s Gossip Columns album\, and the San Francisco-born singer-songwriter has mastered orchestrating heartbreak records for the masses (see: “Morning” and the platinum single “You & Me” featuring rapper and fellow Bay Area native\, G-Eazy). These days\, though\, he’s pumping out more empowering notes in his music and has become the founder of his own independent label\, New Gold Medal Records. \nInspired by the recent artists that have taken the more entrepreneurial route with their businesses\, Bassy wanted to flip the script on his own trajectory after swerving in and out of label deals since he was 20 years old. “It’s the best possible scenario for any musician to own their own music\, to be in control of their own marketing and just be distributed by [another company]\,” says Bassy\, who recently left Republic Records. “‘New gold medal’ is just the idea that the standard has changed now for what success means in this industry. It’s not just about having a song on the radio. It’s about having an impact on the culture and taking care of your people\, and that comes from ownership and independence.” \nBassy is no stranger to autonomy either. Starting off as a member of a group at a young age\, he later broke out into a solo career\, catching the attention of labels and fans with his smooth blend of pop and R&B. He admits he’s a rebel against the big label system of playing corporate politics or sticking to a formal radio-friendly release schedule to compete with mega pop stars. By his own design\, his musical prowess has landed him in studios with peers across genres like Kehlani\, YG\, Ty Dolla $ign\, Charlie Puth\, G-Eazy and Hailee Steinfeld among others\, proving that he has the range when it comes to tackling any type of song. \nBeyond the music\, Bassy — who comes from a family of business owners\, including a mother who owns a successful personal care product company and aunts who own restaurants — functions with a core team of six to eight people. While signed to a major label\, he noticed that the higher-ups would place a firewall between him and his creative vision. So instead of being at the mercy of label reps\, he started his own company to put the money back into his and his team’s pockets and minimize the number of obstacles they faced when it came to sharing his art. \nNow\, the resilience seems to pour out of the speakers when his songs play. For his forthcoming sophomore album PMD (which shares a similar name to his 2018 EP\, Post Modern Depression)\, he tapped heavy-hitting producers like Mike Dean\, Happy Perez\, Nic Nac\, and Count Bassy who fine-tuned the sonics of his work. The content is also a departure from his sad boy stance\, pining for an ex. Take his track “Die Hard\,” inspired by the 1988 Bruce Willis film that opts more for self-assurance than desperation. “I’m not writing from a back-against-the-wall-perspective anymore\, which is where I used to be\,” he explains. “I would say it’s less desperation now and more reflection and confidence.” \nHis current outlook on life also offers the ideal springboard for the theme of his sophomore record: exploring the causes of depression and anxiety in modern culture while still delivering a mix of big pop songs and hip-hop-leaning gems about love and sex. “We live in a world where everyone is more connected than ever\, but feels more lonely than ever\, and that’s just the interesting thing to explore.” When it comes to categorizing his music\, though\, Bassy prefers to be flexible\, just as he’s done throughout his career. “I don’t think there’s anyone that goes all the way from the hood to straight Top 40 radio like I do\,” he says. “And that’s a hard thing to put in a box.”

SUMMARY:INIKO – Awakening The Empire North American Tour
DESCRIPTION:Iniko (they/them) is a genre-defying artist and spiritual storyteller signed to Audio Angel Music Group in partnership with Columbia Records. With a voice that sounds both ancestral and futuristic\, Iniko creates music that transcends time\, blending soul\, trap\, alternative\, and celestial frequencies into a sound uniquely their own. \nTheir gold-certified anthem “Jericho” catapulted them into global consciousness\, laying the foundation for their debut project The Awakening which is a bold and unflinching journey through revolution\, divinity\, and rebirth. The project features songs like “The King’s Affirmation\,” a viral proclamation of self-worth that became a mantra for millions\, and “Yosemite\,” a powerful declaration of Iniko’s role as a protector of the world and a voice for the meek and the damned. \nWith the deluxe edition of The Awakening\, Iniko reveals an even more audacious side\, introducing tracks like “God Body”—a fiery trap-drill anthem where they boast about their god-like nature with a rawness and intensity that first captivated fans during their viral On The Radar performance. \nWhether singing\, rapping\, or channeling emotion through silence\, Iniko’s artistry is deeply spiritual\, deeply human\, and deeply needed. They are the voice of a generation learning to embrace their truth\, their power\, and their higher calling. Iniko isn’t just an artist but they are a portal\, a movement\, and a reminder that we are all divine.

SUMMARY:Fortunate Youth\, Bumpin Uglies
DESCRIPTION:Fortunate Youth is a collaboration of South Bay reggae stand-outs. Rising from various bands\, they’ve created a phenomenal 6-piece masterpiece bringing more fire to the stage than ever before. Combining rootsy vibes and unique bass lines united with multiple harmonies\, boisterous guitar solos\, and heavy keys separates Fortunate Youth from every other mainstream reggae band. With their high energy approach and positive stage presence they provide an unforgettable show to every music fan. Fortunate Youth’s objective is to ensure a performance that leaves you feeling euphoric and curious of what might happen at the next show.\nIn 2011 they supported Tribal Seeds on their nationwide Tribal Youth Tour to spread their conscious music to the nation. F.Y. linked up The Green\, from Hawaii\, for a Midwest/Westcoast run before jumping back in the studio to record. They have hit the masses promoting only their 6-song EP titled “Up-Lifted EP” and just released their full-length album\, “IRIE STATE OF MIND” on July 1\, 2011. Fortunate Youth will also be touring very heavily through 2011 including a Naitonwide CD Release Summer Tour. \nUpon Releasing their full-length album they quickly rose to #2 on the iTunes Reggae Charts and also locked in a #13 position on Billboard Top 100 Reggae Albums. Receiving great praise for early success Fortunate Youth strives to spread their interpretation of Reggae music to Music Lovers worldwide. \nFortunate Youth toured very heavily in 2012 supporting Headliners such as The Expendables and Tribal Seeds. FY also headlined their own Nationwide Summer of Sweet Love Tour proving they can pull their own weight. Making their first international departure\, Fortunate Youth played 4 shows in Costa Rica spreading the love of reggae music internationally. \n2013 release\, “It’s All A Jam”\, hit numerous charts including #1 on Billboard Reggae Charts\, #10 Billboard Pacific Heatseekers Chart\, #23 Billboard National Heatseeker Chart along with #1 on iTunes Reggae Charts and #46 iTunes Overall Charts. FY followed the album release with a 55-Show nationwide Spring Headline Tour seeing great response from the album’s successful release. \nFortunate Youth just finished a Spring 2014 Headline Tour and are gearing up for their Fall with Friends Tour which boasts a solid lineup of support bands including: New Kingston\, The Expanders\, The Steppas\, Ease Up\, Thrive\, Ashes of Babylon\, and more. Keep an eye out for a show in a city near you. All Tour Dates can be seen at www.fortunatemusic.com\n\n\nSocial Links\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBumpin Uglies\n\n \n\nBumpin Uglies spawned from an Annapolis\, MD scene awash in musical history over a decade ago. They are rooted in East Coast ska\, punk\, and reggae\, making their mark up and down the Eastern Seaboard. In the past ten years\, Bumpin Uglies have worked to carve out their path by relentlessly touring\, and releasing one album after another. With each release came more focus\, more creativity and more desire to always experiment and try new things with their music. The band is psyched for their latest EP\, Buzz\, which released on March 22 via Ineffable Music Group based in Oakland\, CA. Ineffable is a name synonymous with the likes of Collie Buddz\, Stick Figure\, The Movement\, and many other prominent artists. \nTheir last album\, Beast From The East\, is proof positive that Brandon\, Wolfie\, Chad and T.J. have meshed into a dynamic quartet as the album topped reggae charts\, drawing interest from Billboard’s editorial team for their debut in the pole position. With fellow Maryland rocker Howi Spangler of Ballyhoo! working on the production\, the alchemy was right for their breakthrough release\, so naturally they are keeping that intact with their current album\, Buzz\, while continuing the trend of evolving their sound\, always experimenting in bold ways that keeps everything fresh from beginning to end. \nTheir climb hasn’t always been easy and as Bumpin Uglies have grinded their way to their current place in the music scene\, they’ve shown that hard work pays off and by putting your heart and soul into it and by taking risks\, you can achieve great things. It’s why they’ve springboarded from The Whiskey in Annapolis (RIP) to slots at major festivals like Firefly\, Peachfest\, and Reggae Rise Up\, and are selling out several markets around the nation. Bumpin Uglies are also proud to have announced their own Headlining Festival\, Weekend at Wolfie’s\, set for June 13-15\, 2019 in Bedford\, PA. \nAs a band they are clearly intent on doing things their own way\, it’s how it’s always been done.  This philosophy has grown Bumpin Uglies into a prolific music-making beast\, has devoted fans tattooing Brandon Hardesty’s poignant lyrics on their bodies and has them growing into a nationally recognized touring headliner. Bumpin Uglies is on fire with no end in site.

SUMMARY:Pepper\, Tunnel Vision
DESCRIPTION:Pepper \nOhana: The Hawaiian word for family\, which is used to convey the sense of togetherness that transcends blood ties. \nFor Pepper paying homage to their roots is essential over a decade in to their celebrated career. The Southern California trio\, who formed in 1997 and moved to the mainland from the three musicians’ hometown of Kailua-Kona\, Hawaii in 1999\, know that where they come from should always be infused in the music they create. On Ohana\, the group’s seventh full-length album (4/29/16\, LAW Records)\, Pepper embraces the feelings and sounds that encouraged them to become a band in the first place. \n“Over our past few albums\, we had been departing from our original sound and exploring new directions\,” Bret notes. “On this album\, we wanted to come back to our classic style and revisit our roots. The writing and recording process was a conscious effort to do that.” \n“We wanted to strip the band down to its natural state\,” Kaleo adds. “We’ve always been a three-piece band with good songs and energy and our goal was to showcase that. We’re all were really pleased with how the music came out and how it conveys the strengths of our band.” \nIt was important to the musicians to self-produce Ohana\, which marks the first time Pepper has helmed the production of one of their albums. From their 2000 debut Give’n It to their 2006 standout album No Shame\, which was recorded with 311’s Nick Hexum\, No Doubt’s Tony Kanal and Butthole Surfers’ Paul Leary\, Pepper has explored various methods of recording\, always hoping to embody not only their signature style of music but their lifestyle in the songs. Ohana was recorded last fall in the band’s own Kona Inn Recording Studio in Redondo Beach. The building is the former home of Pennywise’s Stall #2 studio and embodies a positive vibe for Pepper\, who have recently begun recording other artists in the space. \n“It was time for us to take the reins\,” Bret says. “We’ve been through the process with several really cool producers in the past and we’ve learned a lot from them. We have the knowledge now and it’s about not being complacent anymore. We wanted to do it ourselves\, so it’s from our family to yours.” \n“I really wanted to simplify everything and not overthink things\,” Yesod adds. “We wanted to go jam in a room and hit record. I think we found a great balance in the studio and the end result was pure Pepper\, condensed down to its purest form. It was really gratifying to be in control of the process from start to finish and know that we created every aspect of the album.” \nThe resulting album features Pepper’s surf rock songs\, showcasing the upbeat\, positive vibe elements that make the band so beloved by their fans. There is\, as usual\, an ever-present sense of sunshine throughout the tracks\, bolstering the music’s sense of optimism. The party anthems\, the beach hang melodies\, the boisterous rhythms are all there\, each song carefully crafted to best express sunny moments by the ocean. “Vacation\,” a fun\, upbeat reggae-tinged number\, was co-written by Bret and production duo Diji Parq and seems\, to the band\, like “the Beach Boys at their goofiest.” The soulful “Never Ending Summer” is about taking full advantage of something before it ends while “Wait” evolved throughout the writing process and eventually became a propulsive crooner that feels like signature Pepper. \n“Every song on this album is a great example of what we wanted to do\,” Kaleo says. “That’s why there are only ten of them. We wanted to give the music our concentrated\, focused attention. It’s not about the singles\, but about being a whole piece. That’s why we gave it the most powerful name we know.” \n“Growing up in Hawaii your Ohana defines you\,” Yesod says. “It is you. And it’s not just family through blood – it’s family through spirithood\, brotherhood and sisterhood. Ohana is truly the strongest bond that can ever be made. It’s how we feel about each other as friends and as a band\, and we wanted that spirit to come through in the music itself. These songs come together to create their own version of Ohana.” \nOver the years\, Pepper have toured extensively with groups like 311\, Slightly Stoopid\, Flogging Molly and Sublime With Rome\, and spent several summers on Warped Tour – and this live sensibility shows on the album\, released on the group’s own LAW Records. The band’s music – both live and on their releases – is really about enjoying life and being grateful for each experience. They want to give their all to every performance and share their passion with their fans and with younger artists. \n“We’re still growing a lot\,” Bret says. “Our live show continues to improve and evolve and we always give it our all onstage. We have so much fun playing\, even all these years later. And we’ve gotten to work and tour with so many different artists. We’ve learned a lot from them. Everything we do is done from love. We feel good to all be sitting at a table\, laughing\, twenty years later. It’s the three of us\, just like when we were kids. Because we were together long before we were a band and we’re still such good friends. We can’t stop doing this and we don’t want to ever stop enjoying it.”

She has unassumingly blazed her own trail with sold out tours\, major collaborations\, and over 1 billion streams already in the rearview. \nHowever\, her vision really catches fire on the group’s fourth full-length album\, The Way [Roc Nation]. \n“This album is a love letter to the fans\,” she says. “I’m letting them know everything is going to be okay\, and we’ll help each other find the way—even if we get lost at times.” \nDOROTHY arrived with the force of a hurricane back in 2016\, serving up the full-length debut ROCKISDEAD. Surging on DSPs\, “Raise Hell” reeled in over 85 million Spotify streams followed by “Wicked Ones” with 77 million Spotify streams. The band organically attracted a diehard global fanbase with 28 Day in the Valley [2018] and Gifts From The Holy Ghost [2022]. KERRANG! hailed the latter as “a hot-blooded rock ‘n’ roll record through and through\,” and RIFF raved\, “Holy Ghost serves as a triumphant battle cry and a return to form.” Perhaps\, Outburn put it best\, “it’s her most bombastic and gloriously\, victorious rock and roll work yet.” Simultaneously\, the singer took flight as the rare dynamo equally at home on a track with Slash and Nita Strauss of Alice Cooper or Staind and Scott Stapp of Creed. She even notably dueted with Stapp at the Grand Ole Opry. \nOver the course of 2024\, she carefully architected what would become The Way alongside songwriter and producer Scott Stevens [Halestorm\, Shinedown\, Daughtry]. Expanding the creative palette\, they leaned into heavier rock spiked with a healthy helping of Southern swagger and country-style storytelling. \n“We kept going in a harder direction\, but we dug into the Southern rock flavor more as well\,” she affirms. “I basically asked\, ‘If I was a heavy metal cowgirl who made music\, what would it sound like?’ I love everything from Nirvana\, Audioslave\, and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Motown\, soul\, gospel\, and Creedence Clearwater Revival.  We definitely revisited our roots\, and it was naturally heavier—which is Scott’s wheelhouse.” \nThey kicked this chapter into high gear by slinging “MUD.” Beyond amassing over 1 million streams right out of the gate\, Loudwire attested\, “The singer is known for her powerful vocals\, but you’ve definitely never heard them like this before.” On its heels\, the seismic “The Devil I Know” only maintained this momentum. \nThe single “Tombstone Town” [feat. Slash] pops off as a countrified rock ‘n’ roll barnburner without comparison. Punctuated by hooting\, hollering\, and the click of a six-shooter\, stomping claps usher a rollicking riff towards a climactic chorus\, “I’ll put you in the ground\, I’ll take you down to Tombstone Town.” Slash pulls up with a fret-burning lead\, closing out this anthem in epic fashion. \n“It’s like a diary entry of a real experience\,” she reveals. “It was my way of sorting out frustrations. Musically\, it’s a rule-breaking song. It’s not necessarily hard rock\, country\, or pop. It’s about a bad relationship and getting revenge. Slash is the most humble\, cool\, and down-to-earth guy. I was honored he said\, ‘Yes’.” \nEchoes of strings murmur beneath her steeple-size delivery on the opener “I Come Alive.” Dorothy’s gospel harmonies practically register on the Richter scale\, giving way to a trudging guitar groove. It culminates on an empowering refrain\, “I adrenalize when it’s do or die\, I come alive.” \n“It’s about when we’re challenged and under pressure\, we can really surprise ourselves and show up\,” she notes. “Hit me twice\, and I’ll keep getting back up. I thrive as soon as it gets tough. It’s my\, ‘I feel like a badass today’ song.” \nThat spirit underscores a similarly unbreakable and undeniable message on “Bones” where she warns\, “I’m never giving in\, it isn’t in my bones.” \n“To me\, it conjures southern gothic imagery\,” she elaborates. “It’s about the past and all of the mistakes and shame being washed away\, getting to come back\, and start new. It’s both vulnerable and heavy.” \nThen\, there’s “Haunted House.” A simmering drum groove anchors the track as her confessional lyrics hit hard\, “I poured whiskey on my demons\, but they ain’t drowning\, I need Jesus.” \n“It definitely deals with your self-destructive side and crying out for help\,” she notes. “If you get stuck in your head and you feel defeated\, your brain tells you scary things.” \nThis ride concludes with the piano-driven title track “The Way.” Acoustic guitar brushes up against her pensive musings\, “In the darkness\, find a light\, till we smile and say goodnight. Reach out my hand to you today\, I might need you just the same. It’s alright to be afraid. We’ll help each other find the way.” \n“I’m a born again Christian\,” she states. “I got saved in Rehab. I started reading the Bible\, and I was studying the story of Saul in the Book of Acts\, “The Road to Damascus\,” when he got struck blind. The words ‘The Way’ jumped off the page. If I can plant little seeds in my songs to foster hope and encourage our fans\, I feel like I’m doing my job. That’s what this whole record is about.” \nIn the end\, that’s why the music will make an impact. \n“I’m just a woman who likes to write songs and wants to make the world a better place\,” she leaves off.  “We put everything we could into this album\, and I’m so proud of it. I’m excited to share it.” \n\n \n\nEddie and the Getaway\nNo matter the genre\, the rules\, or the expectations\, Eddie AndThe Getaway will bend and breakthem all. The 24-year-old Arizona native has grown a rabid audience that connects with hisvulnerable Country lyricism and “in your face” guitars that bring back the nostalgia of early 2000sRock. His live shows bring audiences stadium-size energy no matter where he is playing.Eddie has also written and produced songs for Jay Webb\, Pecos & The Rooftops\, LECADE\, SterlingElza and more-all while building his own artistry on the road and through his viral hits “LoveMyself\,” “Cobain”\, and “From The Outside”.He is a true musical triple threat:a multi-genresongwriter\, producer\, and artist–all of which makes him one of the top artists to watch for 2025.
