SUMMARY:Allen Stone and Ripe - 2025 Tour Ripe
DESCRIPTION:Allen Stone\, a soul/R&B luminary\, has enraptured global audiences with his electrifying\nperformances and soulful melodies\, embodying the essence of classic soul legends. His\ngenre-defying style\, blending funk\, gospel\, folk-rock\, and soul\, has garnered critical\nacclaim and a devoted following. Stone’s journey to musical stardom commenced in\nChewelah\, Washington\, where his upbringing immersed him in gospel music as a\npastor’s son. Relocating to Seattle\, he tirelessly toured the West Coast in his ’87 Buick\,\nswiftly gaining acclaim for his dynamic live shows\, often playing up to 200 dates\nannually alongside luminaries such as Stevie Wonder\, Al Green\, Dave Matthews Band\,\nErykah Badu\, and Gary Clark Jr. Notably\, Stone recently hit the road with Chris Stapleton\,\nfurther solidifying his status as a tour de force in the music industry. Alongside his\nprolific touring schedule\, Stone has graced national television screens and mentored on\nABC’s American Idol\, underscoring his esteemed position in the music realm. Stone\ncontinues to garner critical acclaim with his latest body of work\, Mystery\, featuring the\ntitle track in collaboration with PJ Morton. This release brings infectious rhythms and\nemotional depth\, solidifying Stone’s place as a powerful voice in modern soul music.\nBack in the studio\, you can expect more music in 2025 along with festival dates and\nsupporting Chris Stapleton. \n\n \n\nRipe\nRipe remembers sweating to hell in a basement underneath a Subway sandwich shop\, building their very first songs in a concrete cube that smelled like fresh bread. They remember selling their first tickets by hand outside the coffee shop that their friends worked at\, holding court like twenty-something impresarios trying to move like 50 tickets to a bar that was willing to let you keep the ticket sales if they kept the bar.  \nIn a world where we constantly feel the loving pressure to “tell our story”\, where so many of our friends that have found success as artists have done it alone\, Ripe is using their bio to tell you that at the center of everything is collaboration and community\, a friendship that has become a bond as strong as family\, a constantly spinning object that cannot be properly captured by any single still photograph. \nThis moment\, the two songs already out and the new songs coming\, catches the band in a moment of intense joyous swelling energy. Working in dream studios\, in a city they spent years trying to take a proper chance on\, with a producer that had made albums we loved in our formative years\, alongside the closest musical relations we’ve formed. This is our love letter to complicated nostalgia\, to relentless empowering change\, to realizing that making dreams come true (just like a crisis) only fully makes sense when it is shared.  \nJoy in the wild unknown let us tell you who we were. Bright blues had us ripped apart so we could start again. What comes next is the band swinging for the fences\, all in at the table\, risking everything for a shot at feeling connected to you. Thank you for being here. \n\n\n \n\nSir Woman\nKelsey Wilson has never been able to escape the pull of music. At the early age of 4\, she began playing violin and quickly became fascinated with her family’s expansive record collection. Growing up homeschooled with a mother whose life had been embedded in the gospel church\, Wilson found herself immersed in the genre and became enamored with R&B and gospel artists like Otis Redding\, Billy Preston\, Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone. It wasn’t until her teenage years that she was introduced to genres like country rap and pop. “None of it really hit after so many years of what I was listening to\, so I just implanted gospel into my brain.”\nWhile Wilson never thought she would be a professional musician\, life had other plans. In the early 2010s\, Wilson found momentum as the lead vocalist and violinist of the Austin-based Americana outfit Wild Child. “I was writing songs with someone who played the ukulele\, so I realized that I could fit melodies and words over the chords he was playing and it was really easy.” Throughout their 14-year tenure\, the group released five albums and has toured with\nartists like Mt. Joy\, Robert Ellis and Shakey Graves. Because it was “easy\,” Wilson believed that she was supposed to be making folk music. After all\, the band has found moderate success over the years\, from movie and TV show placements to commercial jingles. But the music didn’t feel “authentic” to Wilson. “I wasn’t being my genuine self\,” she says. Still\, she didn’t know what kind of music she would make if she was in complete control. In 2018\, the year before lockdown\, she penned what would be the first Sir Woman record — several songs that didn’t quite fit in the Wild Child world. At the time\, she didn’t intend to create a band or touring the record. “I just wanted to make an album that sounded like me entirely.”\nThe name of Wilson’s rollicking solo project fittingly came to her just as Wild Child was playing the last festival before their hiatus. While roaming around the festival grounds\, a security guard yelled at her\, calling her “sir” and “woman.” Something clicked: It was the song that she had been singing in a dream the night before\, the character she longed to create. “It felt so appropriate and reminded me of Motown\, just classic but powerful. It was everything that I didn’t\nreally get to express in Wild Child.”\nAs Sir Woman\, Wilson took the Austin music scene by storm in 2022 with the release of her full-length self-titled debut. It led to her taking the stage at renowned clubs\, earning Artist Of The Year at the 2023 Austin Music Awards\, as well as features in Rolling Stone\, Spin.com\, Variety and the Cover of Austin Chronicle and many other publications. The buzz surrounding Wilson’s project has helped earn Sir Woman upwards of 30 million streams on Spotify.\nNow\, Wilson is funneling her long passion for soul\, funk and R&B into a double album — If It All Works Out and If It Doesn’t. But making one — let alone two albums —isn’t something she ever intended to do. Throughout the making of both her records\, Wilson experienced a great deal of loss. While recording If It All Works Out\, her sister died. In between the making of her debut and the second LP\, her father passed away. They were both chapters in her life that needed to be shared separately. “It basically came out to be an album for a good day and an album for a bad\none\, because you need music for both experiences.”\nThroughout the 11 tracks of If It All Works Out\, Wilson clung to the ideas of love\, positivity and romance. The album’s cinematic lead single\, “Who You Gonna Love?” pays homage to a brassy Motown classic\, while embracing Sir Woman’s overall ethos of lifting yourself up. “It was all the records from the 70s that I loved listening to growing up\, I got to emulate and do my version.”\n“Heaven” is Wilson’s long-awaited understanding of the sentiment behind Bonnie Raitt’s iconic ballad “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” “It’s this shameless plea for one more night with the person that you love\, even though you know\, they don’t want to be there anymore.” The album’s closer\, “Making My Way” is a heartbreaking conclusion to the record that grapples with the gravity of loss Wilson experienced in such a short period of time. She began writing the first verse after her sister passed away (“I’m gonna see you again someday”) during lockdown when she was unable to have a funeral for her. For a while\, she couldn’t move past that line. When it came time to wrap up the record\, her father passed away. Immediately\, the second verse came to her.\n“It was like the universe was making me wait to finish the song because it was gonna be connected to another major loss. So it was the most cathartic recording experience I’ve ever had. A song has never meant more to me.”\nWhile If It All Works Out has a hopeful lens\, If It Doesn’t is the kind of album that can uplift you when you’re facing life’s challenges. The 10 tracks may seem uplifting on the surface\, but they were crafted during one of the darkest times in Wilson’s life. As the lead single\, the ‘90s R&B-tinged “Never Gonna Give Me Up\,” is a cheeky\, dance number that pays tribute to her music discovery in her teen years. “You never want to give me up / But you never want to give\nme love\,” she sings with a playful lilt. On “Believe It or Not\,” Wilson meditates on being enamored with someone who doesn’t believe them. “It is unrequited love\, but you love this person so much that you don’t care.” With “New Story\,” Wilson explores the power of reinvention. “I got in a conversation with someone who believes that nobody ever really\nchanges\, and as someone who just went through such a drastic change and came out the other side\, a completely different human being. I was like\, ‘This is absolutely untrue.’”\nLeading up to each album’s release\, Wilson has been sharing singles from both records. If It All Works Out was released on February 21st\, while If It Doesn’t is set to drop on May 16th.

SUMMARY:Boise State University Presents LYSISTRATA
DESCRIPTION:Danny Peterson Theatre (inside the Morrison Center) \nAdapted by Ella McLaughlin. Directed by Gordon Reinhart. \nThis fresh\, fast-paced comedy\, inspired by the Aristophanes play\, follows Lysistrata\, an Athenian who calls for the women of Greece to help end the Peloponnesian War. She proposes a radical plan: All Greek women must refuse to engage in lovemaking until the men see reason\, lay down their arms\, and come home to lie down with their wives in peace. The women agree to make the sacrifice and all hell breaks loose as men wander the country in an agony of unsatisfied lust. Will Lysistrata and her crew accomplish what the politicians could not? \nAudio Description is available for the performances on October 23rd at 7:30 PM and October 26th at 2:00 PM.

SUMMARY:Troyboi
DESCRIPTION:T-R-O-Y-B-O-I. These letters are chanted by the masses at his shows\, but the question is who is the artist incorporating stunning visuals\, live instruments and talented dancers. \nTroy Henry\, the elusive producer got his start making his beats standing up in his London studio apartment kitchen with his MacBook and a midi keyboard. \nToday\, the TroyBoi Experience is indeed a musical journey of hard-hitting beats\, lights\, visuals\, and the unexpected. While his musical style can be broadly classified as trap\, it’s extraordinarily unique\, versatile\, and fuses various textures from multiple genres. \nBeyond his career releases which include his debut album Left Is Right (2017) and series of V!BEZ EPs in 2018 and 2019\, his productions have caught the ear of major music stars. His 2018 remix of Bille Eilish’s MyBoi-TroyBoi Remix” has garnered almost 79 million Spotify streams and in 2019\, Rihanna featured two of his songs “Do You?” and “Malokara” at her Savage x Fenty show\, seen globally via Amazon Prime during New York Fashion Week. In 2020 released\, his highly anticipated VIBEZ Vol.4 featuring top hits like\, “*Do You and “Bellz” \nIn early 2021\, he released more hits like\, “Mad Ting\, Buss It\, and “RedEye” with Justin Bieber which currently has over 75 million streams on Spotify. In 2022\, Troy showed his true love and inspiration for Latin Music with an EP titled “INFLUENDO”. And in April 2023\, the long-awaited EP “SAY LESS” will be released assembling some of trap music’s OGs.

SUMMARY:Marc Rebillet - Places I’ve Never Played & Will Never Play Again Tour
DESCRIPTION:“Marc Rebillet is a one-man improvised meltdown. No two shows are ever the same.” \n  \n  \n  \n\n \n\nCAPYAC\nBorn in Austin\, rebuilt in Berlin and LA\, the trio has spent the last decade mutating funk\, house\, and techno into something theatrical and raw. Their new album – Sobbing Ecstasy– hits harder: glossier; sadder; sharper: It’s for sweating out grief at 3AM\, crying in the strobes\, kissing strangers you’ll never see again.\nWhat started as a joke band playing pots and pans around a pool of guacamole has evolved into a full-blown emotional exorcism. Big synths\, dramatic lyrics\, and live shows that split the line between rave\, drag\, and fever dream.\nThey’ll make you dance. Then they’ll gut you. Gently.

SUMMARY:LEISURE
DESCRIPTION:Bay Ledges\nBay Ledges delivers a hypnotic form of indie-pop that alters the way we experience time\, inviting both a dreamlike nostalgia and heightened attention to the present moment. In the making of Bay Ledges’ sophomore album Rivers\, singer/songwriter/producer Zach Hurd brought his inventive musicality to a body of work partly written in response to the death of several family members\, infusing each track with equal parts unguarded feeling and unfettered imagination. With its title referring to two distinct bodies of water in his home state of Maine\, Rivers arrives as a quietly\nenthralling reflection on love\, loss\, and change.\nThe follow-up to Bay Ledges’ 2022 debut album Ritual\, Rivers expands on its predecessor’s kaleidoscopic sound and embraces an even more free-form approach to songcraft and production. But while the new LP contains some of his most experimental and emotionally layered output to date\, its songs remain rooted in the playful spirit\, graceful musicianship\, and timeless sense of melody first shown on Bay Ledges’ breakthrough single “Safe” (a 2016 release that\nreached No. 3 on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart)\, as well as the effortlessly warm presence he’s brought to the stage in touring with the likes of Goth Babe and Big Wild and performing sold-out headlining shows at such iconic venues as the Troubadour in Los Angeles.\nIn bringing Rivers to life\, Hurd worked entirely on his own at his former home studio on the Androscoggin—a river that flows out to a nearby bay and joins with the Kennebec River\, which in turn runs through his hometown of Bath. Before setting to work on the album\, Hurd met with his loved ones at the Kennebec and spread the ashes of five family members\, including his father and a cousin who died in 2022. “My cousin loved music and it was such a huge part of our connection\,” he says. “At first I envisioned making this album for him\, but I had a hard time writing with such a specific vision in mind. Once I let go of that idea and let everything flow\, I ended up creating something that honors all those people in its own way.”\nNewly based in Northern California\, Hurd looks back on his time spent living on the Androscoggin as deeply influential on his development as an artist. “During those three years the river became a huge part of my life\,” he says. “I’d work on the album and then take breaks and walk along the river\, recording voice memos with whatever ideas came to me. After a while I realized that the river is a metaphor for so many things\, including writing songs. To me\, it’s like fishing in a river— either you’re going to get something or you’re not\, and you can’t really force it\, but you do have to show up. I think there’s so much power and magic in that.”

SUMMARY:Haunted House w/ Dombresky\, ero808
DESCRIPTION:Dombresky\nMusic facilitates the transfer of energy from the speakers to the body\, to the mind\, and to the heart.\nSetting off a similar chain reaction\, Dombresky immediately incites motion with his distinct and dynamic\napproach to house fueled by a passionate pulse. The France-born and Los Angeles-based award-winning\nartist\, producer\, DJ\, and Process Records Founder has generated over 100 million streams\, ignited\nfestivals such as Coachella and EDC\, packed storied venues as a headliner\, and emerged as the rare\nphenomenon sought-after for remixes by everyone from Taylor Swift to Louis The Child and Foster The\nPeople.\nWith clear intent\, he moves audiences with a series of 2025 singles\, major shows\, and more to come.\n“I just want to make people dance\,” he exclaims. “That’s what I enjoy more than anything. I really try to\nput the groove into my sets. Ultimately\, this is feel-good music\, and I want the crowd to feel happy and\nsexy.”\nGrowing up on a quaint farm in the South of France\, his childhood couldn’t have been farther from the\nblinding lights of the festivals he’d eventually play. Residing with his parents and two sisters\, he spent a\nlot of time outdoors\, hiking and exploring nature around him. Early on\, he gravitated towards R&B\, soul\,\nand New Jack Swing. His first CD was a “History of Hip-Hop” compilation featuring Grandmaster Flash\nand more. Around the same time\, he discovered Michael Jackson and Prince. Picking up drums\, he\nstudied the instrument for ten years in school\, developing a solid musical foundation.\nAt the age of fifteen\, he attended his first rave in the forest. Nothing would be the same afterwards…\n“Music was always my ally\,” he recalls. “When I saw that DJ\, I was instantly like\, ‘What is going on? This\nis what I want to do now.’”\nArmed with a set of turntables\, a mixer\, and a bevy of vinyl LPs\, he taught himself how to DJ\, practicing\nincessantly throughout his teens. During college\, he went from spinning records at parties to landing a\nresidency at a club in Montpellier for two years. SUMMARY:Sir Chloe w/ Venus & the Flytraps
DESCRIPTION:Sir Chloe is the moniker of the musician and artist Dana Foote. She has been known to blend grungy guitar hooks\, sharp pop instincts\, and a distinctive\, emotionally raw vocal style. Sir Chloe draws influence primarily from funeral dirges and early Gregorian chants\, channeling artists like PJ Harvey\, David Byrne\, and Radiohead. Foote shirked her government name and adopted the moniker Sir Chloe in 2017. Her stage presence has been compared to the likes of a “disheveled businessman after a long day\,” and a “drunk uncle.” Her debut EP Party Favors (2020) has garnered nearly a billion streams and multiple gold records. The music is taut and emotionally charged\, sitting between mainstream ambition and experimental edge.
