SUMMARY:SOCCER MOMMY w/ Hana Vu
DESCRIPTION:Sophie Allison has always written candidly about her life\, making Soccer Mommy one of indie rock’s most interesting and beloved artists of the last decade. Allison has used Soccer Mommy’s songs as a vehicle to sort through the thoughts and encounters that inevitably come with the reality of growing up. After all\, Soccer Mommy began as a bedroom-to-Bandcamp exercise with teenage Allison posting her plaintive songs as demos. Over the years\, though\, she has often enhanced that sound\, using the endless production possibilities\, newly at her fingertips\, to outstrip singer-songwriter stereotypes. The records would start with songwriting’s kernels of truth\, and she would then imagine all the unexpected shapes they could take. Every Soccer Mommy record has felt like a surprise. \nOn Soccer Mommy’s fourth album\, the tender but resolute Evergreen\, Allison is again writing about her life. But that life’s different these days: Since making her previous album\, 2022’s Sometimes\, Forever\, Allison experienced a profound and also very personal loss. New songs emerged from that change\, unflinching and sometimes even funny reflections on what she was feeling. (Speaking of funny\, this is a Soccer Mommy album\, so there’s an ode to Allison’s purple-haired wife in the game Stardew Valley\, too.) These songs were\, once again\, Allison’s way to sort through life\, to ground herself. She wanted them to sound that way\, too\, to feel as true to the demos—raw and relatable\, unvarnished and honest—as possible. The songwriting would again lead where the production would follow. Nothing overindulgent\, everything real. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nHana Vu\n\nyelling at anyone that will listen

SUMMARY:Young Dubliners\, Cliff Miller\, Beyond the Burren
DESCRIPTION:Young Dubliners\n\n \n\nThe Young Dubliners are quite possibly Celtic rock’s hardest working band\, playing hundreds of shows to thousands of fans across the US and Europe every year. In recent years they have twice appeared on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!\, had songs featured in TV shows (Sons Of Anarchy\, Human Target) and toured extensively as a headliner and as the opener for such a diverse list of artists as The Flaming Lips\, Collective Soul\, Jethro Tull\, Johnny Lang and many more. \nAlthough the Young Dubliners sound is most commonly called ‘Celtic Rock’\, that label\, as labels often can be\, is misleading. The Irish influence is there\, certainly\, but it’s not the only influence that rears its head on their albums\, or in live shows. After all\, several of the band members have no Irish roots of any kind. “That was always the idea”\, Keith Roberts\, lead singer for the band explains. “The sound was always intended to be a hybrid because we all come from different backgrounds. Even though two of us are from Ireland\, a lot of the music we listened to growing up wasn’t Irish at all\, but when we got here\, we got homesick and developed a new appreciation for Irish Music. In truth the Celtic riffs can just as easily come from the American band members. Everyone writes now so you never know what you’ll end up with when you start on a new album. \nThe band has just released their brand new studio album\, NINE. It contains ten brand new original songs with the usual blend of themes and tempos to keep the listener captivated. This was a unique experience for the band as they released it independently for the first time in their career. \n“We had a few offers but decided we were well overdue to take things into our own hands\,” says Roberts\, “After eight albums on various labels it just seemed right to go it alone for once and maintain full creative control.” \nHowever ‘going it alone’ did not mean without financial support and for that they turned to their fans. After only two weeks the band had received over half the necessary funds to complete the recording\, manufacturing and marketing plan for the album and work began on February 1st\, 2012. The road intervened as is usual for this non-stop touring band and the recording process was put on temporary hold as they commenced a long US summer tour followed by a month long European Fall run. \nNow\, with the Album finally hitting the streets on March 4th\, the Dubs are out on the road again in support. \n“Having a whole album of new songs really invigorates the live show for us and makes it exciting all over again” say Roberts. “It’s like a shot in the arm every time we go through this process”. \n\n\nSocial Links\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCliff Miller

SUMMARY:G. LOVE & SPECIAL SAUCE
DESCRIPTION:“I’ve been in the game a long time\, but I’ve always considered myself a student\,” says G. Love. “Finishing this album with Keb Mo’ felt like graduation.” \nRecorded in Nashville with a slew of special guests including Robert Randolph\, Marcus King\, and Roosevelt Collier\, ‘The Juice’ is indeed diploma-worthy. Co-produced and co-written with GRAMMY-winning icon Keb Mo\,’ it’s an electrifying collection\, one that tips its cap to more than a century of blues greats even as it offers its own distinctly modern pop spin on the genre\, mixing programmed beats and hip-hop grooves with blistering guitar and sacred steel. G. Love’s lyrics are both personal and political here\, artfully balancing his appreciation for the simple joys in life with his obligation to speak out for justice and equality\, and his performances are suitably riotous and rousing to match\, with infectious call-and-response hooks and funky sing-along choruses at every turn. Easy as it is to succumb to cynicism these days\, the songs on ‘The Juice’ refuse\, insisting instead on hope and determination in the face of doubt and despair. \n“I’ve always tried to make music that’s a force for positivity\,” G. Love explains. “It was important to me that this album be something that could empower the folks who are out there fighting the good fight every day. I wanted to make a rallying cry for empathy and unity.” \nBorn Garrett Dutton in Philadelphia\, PA\, G. Love grew up equally enthralled with folk\, blues\, and rap\, devouring everything from Lead Belly and Run D.M.C. to John Hammond and the Beastie Boys. After migrating to Boston\, he and his band\, Special Sauce\, broke out in 1994 with their Gold-selling self-titled debut\, which earned widespread critical acclaim for its bold vision and adventurous production. Over the next twenty-five years\, G. Love would go on to release seven more similarly lauded studio studios albums with Special Sauce (plus four solo albums on his own)\, solidifying his place in music history as a genre-bending pioneer with a sound The New York Times described as “a new and urgent hybrid” and NPR called a “musical melting pot.” G. Love’s magnetic stage presence\, meanwhile\, made him a fixture on festival lineups from Bonnaroo to Lollapalooza\, and his relentless appetite for tour and collaboration landed him on the road and in the studio with artists as diverse as Lucinda Williams\, Dave Matthews\, The Avett Brothers\, Jack Johnson\, and DJ Logic. \nWhile G. Love has covered considerable sonic ground during his prolific career\, he’s always found himself drawn back to the blues\, and to one bluesman in particular. \n“Keb Mo’ and I got signed to the same label at the same time back when I first started out\, and we toured together early on in my career\,” G. Love remembers. “He used to introduce me onstage as ‘a true American original\,’ and I could tell that he got a kick out of what I did. We didn’t see each other for a while after that\, but a few years ago we reconnected and did a co-headline tour\, which was really special for me.” \nTwo decades after they’d first hit the road together\, the unlikely duo picked up right where they left off\, and after a couple late-night jam sessions\, G. Love pitched Keb Mo’ on producing his next album. The pair decided to test the waters with a writing session first\, teaming up with GRAMMY-winner Gary Nicholson (famed for his work with B.B. King\, Buddy Guy\, Willie Nelson\, and Ringo Starr among others) for a week in Nashville\, where they penned a handful of tunes based on phrases G. Love had saved in his phone or rough demos he’d recorded at home on Cape Cod. Those tracks quickly became fan favorites on the road\, and G. Love knew he was on to something special. \n“I got wrapped up in touring and in my Jamtown project with Donovan Frankenreiter and Cicso Adler after that first session\, and even though I really enjoyed working with Keb Mo’ and Gary\, it was a year-and-a-half before I was able to get back down to Nashville to finish writing the album with them.” \nWhen it came time to record\, Keb Mo’ was meticulous\, working closely with G. Love in the studio on nearly every aspect of his performances. While G. Love was used to creating raw\, loose albums by the seat of his pants\, Keb Mo’ worked in a much more deliberate\, methodical fashion\, building songs up like a hip-hop producer. He’d create a beat on his keyboard\, lay down a bass line\, and then coach G. Love through the tracks sometimes line-by-line. \n“He was always impressing on me where to place the emphasis and how to phrase my lyrics and guitar playing in relation to the beat\,” G. Love explains. “He’d tell me to sing like I had a shovel in my hands and I was digging on the one.” \nThe resulting mix of G. Love’s idiosyncratic style and Keb Mo’s old-school influence proves intoxicating on ‘The Juice\,’ which opens with the shuffling\, anthemic title track. “We got the juice / We got the love / We got the dreams / We had enough\,” G. Love sings\, setting the stage for an album all about recognizing your power to impact the world around you in ways both big and small. The infectious “Birmingham\,” for instance\, is an ode to perseverance when \, while the funky “Go Crazy” cuts loose in the face of our maddening 24-hour news cycle\, and the relentless “Shake Your Hair” rattles off a head-spinning list of modern ills before declaring “donate\, don’t wait\, spread love don’t hate.” \n“I’ve never been the kind of guy who thinks he’s going to change the world with his guitar\,” reflects G. Love. “But maybe I can write the kind of songs that give strength and encouragement to the people who are out there doing the work to make this planet a better place. Those are the people I want to lift up with my music.” \nWhen G. Love sings about making the world a better place\, he’s not just singing about politics\, though\, and ‘The Juice’ serves as a beautiful exploration of the ways we can brighten our own little worlds and the worlds of those we care about on a daily basis. The gritty “SoulBQue” is a celebration of community and friendship\, while the rootsy “She’s The Rock” pays tribute to all the little ways lovers can lift each other up\, and the breezy “Diggin’ Roots” spins cultivating a garden into a metaphor for the importance of tending to your home and family and neighbors. \n“I was going through a tough time in my life when I met my fiancé\, but my whole world seemed to turn around after that\,” says G. Love. “I started meditating\, we had a son\, and we moved out to the Cape. That’s when I stopped writing breakup songs and started writing love songs and family songs and friendship songs.” \nLife is good for G. Love these days\, and he’s not taking a moment of it for granted. In fact\, in just the past few years alone he’s launched his own beer collaboration with Oregon’s Good Life Brewery (The Juice IPA)\, started his own festival in Massachusetts (The Cape Cod Roots & Blues Festival)\, and founded his own record label\, Philadelphonic\, which he aims to use as an outlet for curating both music and visual art (the cover of ‘The Juice’ features a brand new work G. Love commissioned from renowned painter Greg Haberny). \n“I’m more inspired right now than I’ve ever been before\,” G. Love reflects. “I feel more thoughtful\, seasoned\, marinated\, confident. I’m making the records I’ve always wanted to make.” \nCue “Pomp and Circumstance.”

SUMMARY:UMPHREY'S MCGEE – Cruising Altitude 2025 Tour
DESCRIPTION:Chicago’s eclectic rock band Umphrey’s McGee has been keeping fans on their toes for\nnearly 27 years now. Though often pigeonholed into “jam band” circles\, Umphrey’s doesn’t\nfit that traditional mold; and their fans don’t either. Is it prog rock? Song-forward\,\nBeatles-esque arrangements? Be careful\, they might hit you with some metal riffs mid-set\,\ntoo. Amongst 2\,500+ gigs and 300 million+ tracks streamed\, you-had-to-be-there moments\ninclude the band’s performance at the first-ever Bonnaroo and selling more CDs (remember\nthose?) than any other act on the bill. A leader in the live music world\, Umphrey’s McGee\nbecame the first group to launch its own single-artist streaming service with UMLive.net\,\nwhich houses recordings of every gig since 2005. The service has since grown and now\nlives on through Nugs.net\, which is used by the likes of Pearl Jam\, Bruce Springsteen\, and\nmore.\nBeyond intimate backstage encounters and ski trips with their most diehard fans\, Umphrey’s\nMcGee instituted the groundbreaking “Headphones & Snowcones” program\, granting fans\naccess to professional headphones and a soundboard-quality mix to listen wirelessly at\nshows. At their UMBowl\, they empowered the audience to vote on the setlist in real-time\nand choose favorite improv themes via text message. In 2017\, they stepped into another\nrealm altogether by integrating themselves into the VR Platform Endless Riff. All of the\nabove has earned the band status as kings of the live music scene with standing yearly\nengagements at iconic venues\, their own events in Iceland (Rockjavick) and Mexico\n(Holidaze)\, and co-hosting Chillicothe\, IL’s long-running Summer Camp festival. In April\n2025\, Umphrey’s McGee will lead their faithful fans on another bucket list musical\nadventure: Morockshow will feature three nights in Marrakech\, Morocco\, marking another\nsignature event in an exotic location. Umphrey’s McGee’s latest release Asking For A\nFriend showcases more evolved songwriting and thoughtful arranging from a band\ncontinuing to grow and mature with their droves of die-hard\, longtime fans.

SUMMARY:Russian Circles\, Pelican
DESCRIPTION:Russian Circles\, Pelican\nKnitting Factory – Boise\n416 S. 9th St. – Boise\, ID 83702\nMonMarch 178:00 pm(Doors: 7:00 pm)\nAll Ages\nBuy Tickets\n\n\n\n\n+ Google Calendar\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtists\n\n\nRussian Circles\n\n \n\n\n\nSocial Links\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPelican\n\n \n\nIt’s been a long journey for Pelican—from their sludgy reductionist beginnings in the DIY spaces of Chicago\, through their tenure as forerunners to the burgeoning international community of artists fusing post-rock’s dramatic melodicism with thinking man’s metal\, and to their ascension into the canon of the elder statesmen in the brainy and brawny realm of the underground rock world. The band encountered no shortage of ups and downs along the way\, and those peaks and valleys often found an analog in the moods and timbres of Pelican’s sonic palette\, with youthful frustrations channeled into the unrepentant dirges of their self-titled debut or new opportunities afforded by their increasing popularity manifested in the expanded vistas of City of Echoes. In the process of writing their sixth album Nighttime Stories\, the quartet endured a slew of realizations\, tragedies\, and glimmers of optimism that guided the creative process to the most potent album of their eighteen-year career. \nOne of the most profound shifts in Pelican’s operating procedure came with the departure of founding member Laurent Schroeder-Lebec back in 2012. Along with fellow guitarist Trevor Shelley de Brauw and drummer Larry Herweg\, Schroeder-Lebec shared duties in the hallucinatory art-grind band Tusk\, with the dual collaborations resulting in a near-psychic interplay between the musicians. The only added personnel for Pelican was bassist Bryan Herweg\, whose familial ties within the rhythm section were evident with his in-the-pocket playing. Though Schroeder-Lebec’s exit had been planned with enough foresight for the band to gradually incorporate Dallas Thomas as a replacement\, the alteration could be felt in their first album with a line-up change. Forever Becoming contained the requisite breadth and muscle of their earlier albums\, but it also sounded more like a band that was focused on creating dimension in the studio as opposed to replicating the enveloping force of their live show. “It felt like it would have more musical continuity from the previous albums if the three original members handled the writing rather than approaching it with a new lineup\,” Shelley de Brauw says of that album\, but the subsequent years of playing together—whether in the practice space\, the studio\, or on stage—altered the writing chemistry for Nighttime Stories. “Rather than try to bend Dallas to fit into Pelican\, we’ve all dug into our subconscious to find the shared similarities in our styles—particularly the era of the late 90’s and early 00’s where bands were beginning to push hardcore and metal in a more exploratory direction.” \nWhile Pelican has frequently strayed from the unanimous locked-in riffage of their first few records in favor of more complex instrumental interplay\, it’s hard to imagine an earlier incarnation of the band writing songs as meticulously crafted and detail-oriented as Nighttime Storiestracks like “Midnight and Mescaline” or “Abyssal Plain”\, where the compositions recall everything from the triumphant call-to-arms of classic Dischord bands to the vicious troglodyte battery of the Melvins to the dynamic interwoven melodies of bottom-heavy indie cult heroes Chavez. But there’s also the requisite lurch and stomp of their early years\, as evident on the unrepentant crusher “Cold Hope”. It’s the heaviest Pelican record in a long time\, and it was at least partially due to the cultural climate. “We were halfway through writing the album when a significant portion of the country signaled that they were ready to publicly embrace totalitarianism\, bigotry\, and white supremacy\, and the resulting dread and anger we experienced had a considerable effect on the shape of the material that followed\,” Shelley de Brauw says with regards to the grim mood surrounding the album’s gestation period. \nThere were personal tragedies that informed the creative process too. Nighttime Storieswas a title originally proposed for a Tusk record that never developed. Their vocalist Jody Minnoch passed away unexpectedly in 2014\, and many of the song names and aesthetic themes on Nighttime Storiesstemmed from ideas Minnoch floated past his bandmates shortly before his death. Additionally\, many of the dissonant chord voicings and idiosyncratic structures that were part of Tusk’s signature sound began to surface on the album\, so it felt appropriate to pay homage to their departed colleague. Thomas also experienced a heavy loss in his life with the passing of his father. The album’s opening track “WST” is a somber ballad performed on an acoustic guitar handed down from father to son\, with his initials serving as the title. \nNighttime Storiesisn’t entirely mired in bleakness. Though the album certainly veers towards the darker end of Pelican’s songwriting\, the energized urgency on tracks like “Arteries of Blacktop” and sublime melodicism on songs like “Full Moon\, Black Water” suggest a renewed vigor for the band. Perhaps it stems from three of the four members becoming fathers in the six-year gap between albums. Maybe it’s a product of rediscovering a common musical language as a reformulated quartet. Maybe it came from reuniting with Pelican and Australasia producer Sanford Parker for the tracking of the album. Tracked in their original stomping grounds of Chicago at Electrical Audio and bolstered by Matt Bayles’ mixing skills\, Nighttime Storiesthrobs with guttural force in its most malicious moments and shimmers with beauty in the moments of respite. \nPelican have always excelled at vacillating between the savage sounds of various niches of metal underground and the more delicate and nuanced sounds of Midwest’s cerebral indie community\, proving that they can make either end of the spectrum more vibrant and compelling through the art of contrast. With Nighttime Stories\, the pendulum has swung back to the angst and ire of their younger years while delivering it with the nuance and wisdom that’s come with nearly two decades of writing and performing. Southern Lord is proud to offer up Nighttime Stories to the world on CD/LP/digital on June 7\, 2019.

SUMMARY:ANBERLIN 20th Anniversary of Never Take Friendship Personal
DESCRIPTION:For more than two decades\, Anberlin have remained a formidable force in the alt-rock world\, boasting a wildly devoted fanbase who’ve come to rely on the raw cathartic power of their music. On the massively anticipated Vega—the first album in ten years from vocalist Stephen Christian\, guitarists Joseph Milligan and Christian McAlhaney\, bassist Deon Rexroat\, and drummer Nathan Young—the Florida-bred band deliver a body of work forged with an explosive new energy\, thanks in part to the addition of singer Matty Mullins (the Memphis May Fire frontman who’s stepped in as live vocalist for Anberlin\, following Christian’s announcement that he’ll no longer tour full-time). The latest triumph in an extraordinary career that’s included selling over 1.5 million albums in the U.S. alone and turning out hits like the No. 1 Alternative Radio smash “Feel Good Drag\,” Vega reveals a band whose creative passion and one-of-a-kind vision have only grown stronger over time. \nArriving on the heels of two back-to-back EPs—2022’s Silverline and 2023’s Convinced—Vega emerged from a period of unbridled creativity for Anberlin\, who parted ways soon after 2014’s Lowborn and reunited for a series of lockdown-era livestreams. In bringing their new album to life\, the band embraced a deliberately free-flowing and DIY approach\, building up songs in McAlhaney’s garage before self-producing the LP at Tampa’s Feral Sound Studios. “In the past we’d sometimes limit our sound to some preconceived idea of what Anberlin is supposed to be\,” says McAlhaney. “This time the mantra was\, ‘If it feels good\, let’s try it.’ Because at the end of the day\, Anberlin is whatever we say it is.” As a result\, Vega encompasses everything from the shout-along-ready pop perfection of “Walk Alone” to the brutally heavy intensity of “Seven” (a shapeshifting and strangely enthralling epic featuring a savage vocal performance from Mullins). “I think after spending time apart we came back with a new perspective\, where we were all just excited to work together and create the best songs we can\,” says Young. “No one was precious about their ideas; it was all about making something that feels new and risky and like nothing we’ve ever done before.” \nAs they get set to embark on the 20 Years of Tears amphitheater tour with Thursday\, Hawthorne Heights\, and Saosin—a 56-date run that marks their most extensive tour in a decade—Anberlin look forward to the pure thrill of performing their new material for their longtime legion of fans. “We’ve had so many people tell us things like\, ‘Your songs got me through a really difficult time in my life\,’ or ‘You guys are what made me pick up a guitar and start my own band\,’” says Rexroat. “It’s an incredible feeling to know that we’ve impacted other people on that level—the amount of love we’ve felt is undeniable\, and it’s one of the main reasons we’ve kept going for as long we have.” \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nCopeland\nLongevity in music comes through pushing yourself and expanding the possibilities of your sound. This has never been more true for Copeland. The band\, which originally formed in Lakeland\, Florida in 2001\, has unveiled six albums\, spanning from their 2003’s debut Beneath Medicine Tree to 2016’s Ixora. While they began as a rock band\, Copeland’s music has explored multiple genres and pulled in various stylistic influences like electronic and symphonic. In the past the musicians have aptly melded these styles\, creating a unique amalgam of sounds. This time they wanted to take each sound and style and push it to its logical extreme. \n\n\n \n\nSpitalfield\nFormed in the suburbs of Chicago in 1998\, Spitalfield play emo pop rock with a twist.
Before releasing fan-favorite Remember Right Now in 2003 (Victory Records)\, the band released an EP (The Cloak & Dagger Club\, 2002 – Sinister Label)\, a full length (Faster Crashes Harder\, 2001 – Sinister Label / Walk in Cold)\, a split 12″ LP with friends Don’t Worry About It (2000)\, & self-released demos. Two additional full length albums were released in 2005 (Stop Doing Bad Things) and 2006 (Better Than Knowing Where You Are).
The lineup of vocalist Mark Rose and drummer JD Romero has remained consistent throughout the band’s career\, with their most popular lineups rounded out by lead guitarist Dan Lowder (2001-2007)\, and bassists TJ Minich (2002-2005) and TJ Milici (2005-2007).

SUMMARY:O.T. Genasis w/ MJD\, J Dixon\, Lil Dreamy\, EST_TRU
DESCRIPTION:The career of O.T. Genasis took off when Busta Rhymes caught the terse rapper performing “Touchdown” four consecutive times for a demanding but rapt crowd. Support from Busta led the way to the number 20 pop hit “CoCo” (2014) and another Top 40 entry with “Cut It” (2015). Since releasing the Atlantic-distributed mixtape Coke N Butter (2016)\, O.T. has been behind numerous singles such as “Bae” (2018) and “What Is Your Name” (2021). \nBorn in Atlanta and raised on the West Coast in Long Beach\, O.T. Genasis (Odis Oliver Flores) was inspired to make music by hard-edged rap and dancehall artists ranging from 2Pac to Shabba Ranks. He surfaced in the early 2010s as a G-Unit affiliate\, releasing the mixtape Black Belt in 2012. After he was swept up by Busta Rhymes‘ Conglomerate Entertainment label\, he quickly recorded the 2014 tape Catastrophic 2 and issued a version of “Touchdown” with verses from Busta and French Montana. The relatively relaxed follow-up single\, “CoCo” — another ode to dealing cocaine — was released that November and swiftly became a bigger hit\, reaching number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 before it attained multi-platinum status. O.T. cracked the Top 40 again and scored another multi-platinum hit with the number 35 single “Cut It” (featuring Young Dolph)\, off the 2015 mixtape Rhythm & Bricks. Coke N Butter\, yet another mixtape\, made waves in 2016 with “Push It\,” which didn’t chart but was certified gold. Over the next five years\, O.T. stuck with singles\, and achieved streams well into the millions with the likes of “Bae” and “Back to You” (the latter featuring Chris Brown and Charlie Wilson). He offered “What Is Your Name” in 2021. ~ Andy Kellman\, Rovi

SUMMARY:MOZART'S REQUIEM The Hope and Mercy of Mozart's Requiem
DESCRIPTION:Bach’s Six Brandenburg Concertos are widely regarded as some of the finest compositions of the Baroque period. Each virtuosic concerto is crafted with a unique combination of instruments\, showcasing the popular musical styles during Bach’s lifetime. \nJoin us as Boise Phil’s Allison Emerick\, Del Parkinson\, and Brendan Shea take center stage for the famous Concerto No. 5. \nThe Boise Phil Master Chorale joins the Boise Phil to perform Mozart’s transcendental Requiem. Left incomplete at the time of Mozart’s death on December 5\, 1791\, it is arguably one of his most famous works\, delving into the themes of life and death and featuring some of the most emotionally moving music ever composed. \nThe Latin hymn ‘Ave Verum Corpus’ has been set to music by some of classical music’s most beloved composers. Mozart’s setting\, like his Requiem\, was composed in the final year of his life and is a breathtaking five-minute work that elevates the Latin chant to a divine status. \nPRE-CONCERT TALK\nJoin Musicologist Bradley Berg and Music Director Eric Garcia (and special guests) as they guide you through the music you are about to hear\, providing an enlightening look at the repertoire and composers before the performance begins. Bring your questions! Please gather inside the concert hall by the stage. \nMatinee Pre-Concert Talk starts at 12:45 pm (for 2:00pm Sunday)\nEvening Pre-Concert Talk starts at 6:15 pm (for 7:30pm Saturday)
