Now renamed to honor Deputy Tobin Bolter. \nHosted by the Treasure Valley YMCA and Ada County\, this exciting event invites young athletes to test their endurance and build confidence in a supportive\, high-energy environment. Designed for kids ages 3-12\, the duathlon features race distances tailored to each age group\, giving every child the chance to shine. Families can enjoy a fun-filled day with opening ceremonies\, thrilling races\, and a special award ceremony to celebrate all participants. \nPlus\, there will be crafts\, face painting\, and delicious food to enjoy! \nJoin us in honoring the legacy of Deputy Tobin Bolter while inspiring the next generation to stay active\, push their limits\, and create lasting memories. For those above 3\, we do not allow anyone to bike/run with them. \nAda County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Tobin Bolter was tragically killed in the line of duty on April 21\, 2024. Deputy Bolter was just 27-years-old\, with seven years of dedicated law enforcement service. SUMMARY:Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association hosts its annual Step Up for Down Syndrome walk on Saturday\, September 12\, 2026\, at Indian Creek Plaza in Caldwell\, with festivities starting at 10:00 am. This year’s theme\, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me\,” celebrates community and connection\, with this year’s event t-shirt featuring artwork submitted and voted on by TVDSA members with Down syndrome — congratulations to winning artist Sadie Little. The walk brings together families\, friends\, and supporters across the Treasure Valley for a morning of community\, awareness\, and fundraising. Online registration has closed\, but walk-up registration will be available at the event\, with limited shirt sizes available on a first-come basis.
