SUMMARY:Kids Triathlon | Lions Park
DESCRIPTION:Ready! Set! Participate! in the Nampa Recreation Department’s Kids Triathlon! This fun and challenging event is for kids ages 6-13 and will include swimming\, biking and running. The 3-event race not only promotes fitness but improves your child’s self confidence as they cross the finish line on their own. A great introduction to the sport\, participants will swim in Lincoln Pool followed by a safe bike and run on roads and grounds of Lions Park. All participants will receive an event bag and all finishers will receive a t-shirt. The transition areas will be in the parking lots and we strongly encourage friends and family to come cheer on these young competitors. All participants must wear a helmet for the bike portion of the triathlon and supply their own bike.

SUMMARY:Geology Hike | Eagle Rock
DESCRIPTION:Join IMMG\, Eliza Schulz\, on a .5 mile geology hike to Eagle Rock and learn about the earth below your feet. \n\n\n\n\nEliza Schulz will meet hikers at 7:45am within steps of the IMMG in the Old Pen dirt parking lot near the Ridge to Rivers trail sign. She will lead you up the hillside at a relaxed pace. At various points she will talk about the features of the hillside\, the type of rocks\, how the hills were formed\, what produced the Treasure Valley below and more. \nThe geo-hike is appropriate for children and adults who can walk/hike for up to 2 hours. Because of summer heat\, the hike will end by 10:00am. \nPlease wear comfortable walking shoes\, wear a sun hat\, bring your own water and dress for the weather. Eliza will be at the trailhead by 7:45am and she’ll leave with hikers at 8:00am.

DESCRIPTION:Take on one of Boise’s most iconic climbs for a good cause. The 3rd Annual LESS Society Table Rock Run/Hike is a community celebration of health\, perseverance\, and purpose\, bringing together healthcare professionals\, families\, and outdoor enthusiasts for a morning of movement and giving back — all against the backdrop of Boise’s foothills. Hosted by the LESS Society (Less Exposure Spine Surgery Society)\, the event advances its mission of Technology\, Investing\, Education\, and Research. \nThe route follows the Table Rock Trail (#15)\, a 3.8-mile round-trip with roughly 900 feet of elevation gain. Participants start at the Table Rock Trailhead — behind the Bishop’s House near the Old Idaho Penitentiary — climb to the summit overlooking downtown Boise and the Treasure Valley\, then loop back to the base. Proceeds support the LESS Society Idaho Scholarship Initiative\, providing educational opportunities for Idaho students pursuing careers in healthcare\, science\, and community leadership.
