In 1913\, a bronco-bucking contest was even added to the festivities. \nIn 2015\, the Nampa Chamber of Commerce established a committee to revive this community tradition as Taste of Idaho while continuing its focus on celebrating the local harvest. Today\, the event features a thoughtfully planned menu incorporating ingredients from partnering Treasure Valley and Idaho organizations\, along with a beer and wine garden highlighting local wineries and craft breweries. \nJoin us September 15 from 5:00–8:00 PM at the Idaho Center Plaza for a delicious evening celebrating great food\, local flavors\, and community connections. Word was out that frontman Brandon Blaine’s enigmatic presence drew parallels with young Iggy Pop and Nick Cave. Their performances caught the attention of Epitaph Records owner Brett Gurewitz. He signed them to the label in 2013. \n  \nTheir debut album Free To Eat clocked a combustible ten songs at seventeen minutes. It received critical acclaim drawing comparisons to Gun Club\, Iggy & The Stooges\, The Cramps\, and Jesus Lizard. \nThe two follow up albums BLOODSWEAT and By Night bolstered up their reputation as a heavy hitting rock band who knew their way around a studio. These two albums showed Plague Vendor expanding on their sound by working with producers Stuart Sikes (White Stripes\, The Walkmen) and John Congleton (St. Vincent et al.)\, respectively. \nThe band’s top-of-the-class live show has secured them spots opening for the likes of Muse\, Deftones\, The Offspring\, Social Distortion\, Refused and many others. They have received generous write-ups for their appearances in the US/UK festival and club circuits. \nPlague Vendor is continuing to hold up their reputation as one of the hardest working bands on the stage with newly recruited Henri Cash (Starcrawler) on guitar duties. The band has been testing new material on the road.

SUMMARY:Connor Wood
DESCRIPTION:Comedian and podcaster Connor Wood — known online as @Fibula — brings his stand-up show to Boise’s Knitting Factory on Thursday\, September 17\, 2026 at 8:00 PM. \nWood built his massive following online with sharp\, relatable comedy during quarantine before co-launching Brooke and Connor Make a Podcast with comedian Brooke Averick in 2022. Since debuting his stand-up at the 2023 New York Comedy Festival\, he’s toured his Fibs and Friends show across the country\, selling out 100+ shows nationwide — and now the Treasure Valley gets its turn. \nExpect a night of quick wit\, crowd-favorite bits from the podcast\, and the kind of high-energy show that’s earned him a devoted\, sold-out fanbase everywhere he goes. \n📅 Thursday\, September 17\, 2026 · 8:00 PM\n📍 Knitting Factory\, Boise \nSince this one’s a touring comedian rather than a Treasure Valley institution\, let me know if you’d rather I frame it differently — e.g.\, more of a “who is this guy and why should locals care” angle for a blog post\, versus this straightforward event-listing tone.

SUMMARY:23RD ANNUAL INDIAN CREEK FESTIVAL
DESCRIPTION:Caldwell’s story didn’t always include our beloved Indian Creek. In fact\, these waters were flowing for decades beneath layers of road and buildings. The city’s initial Indian Creek Festival began in 2003 as a celebration of when the creek’s first section was uncovered. What was once a small gathering in a parking lot has now become a two-day festival that spans blocks in our beautifully revived downtown. \nThis is one of our favorite events of the year\, so we packed the weekend with family-friendly activities. Some highlights include a Fireman’s breakfast\, oldies car show\, first responder tug-of-war\, and the crowd favorite: Cardboard Kayak Race. Come see what these folks can do with some old boxes\, duct tape\, a little paint and a lot of innovation! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n6 — 9 pm | National Drive Electric Month Car Show \n\n\n6 — 9 pm | Live Music from Asphalt Buffet \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFRIDAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSATURDAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n7  – 10 am | Fireman’s Breakfast | Caldwell Fire Dept. \n\n\n9 – 11:30 am | Live Music from JR and the Stingrays \n\n\n9 — 11 am | Classic Car Show \n\n\n9 –11 am | Idaho Vintage Motorcycle Club Show \n\n\n9 — 1 pm | Chalk the Block \n\n\n9 –1 pm | 4-H Activities \n\n\n10 am – 4 pm | Vendor Market \n\n\n12 – 1 pm | Tug of War \n\n\n2 – 3 pm | Cardboard Kayak Race \n\n\n3 — 5 pm | Live Music from Redlight Challenge

SUMMARY:Sleep: North America 2026
DESCRIPTION:Today\, the legendary band Sleep releases new single “Have Spacesuit Will Travel” via Third Man Records\, their first new music since 2018. In addition\, the band announces a fall North American tour\, as well as releases the first issue of the Sleep Comic Book\, written by bassist and songwriter Al Cisneros.\n“Have Spacesuit Will Travel” begins Sleep’s first mission without Matt Pike on guitar. The music and art are alive and after the decades of obstacles that Sleep has overcome\, it is time to move forward and make songs and albums. Al wishes Matt the best on his earth bound maneuvers.\nAlongside Cisneros\, the latest incarnation of Sleep features Dale Crover on drums and Bubba Dupree on guitar. Dale has been in some serious bands\, like the Melvins and Redd Kross. That Al would seek him out makes sense\, an almost elementary choice that probably wouldn’t raise too many eyebrows. Bubba Dupree\, from the fiercely loved band Void\, hailing out of Columbia\, MD\, is a pick that is not only completely mind-blowing\, but a choice no one would have seen coming. Just the thought of Bubba\, who was amazing from the first Void shows on\, playing guitar in Sleep is almost too much for the mind to comprehend.\nAl Cisneros\, Bubba Dupree\, and Dale Crover as a trio looks really good on paper\, but the only way to see if it worked was to get everyone in a room and play. Al says the answer made itself evident immediately: “The vibe of the first jam was obvious. It was blue sunglasses-era Iommi in the quality\, and equally awesome is Bubba is also one of the coolest people I’ve been able to make music with.”\n“Have Spacesuit Will Travel” at no time tries to pick up where The Sciences left off. There’s a considerable amount of new blood in the band\, so imitation\, as Bubba notes\, would greatly limit the potential of three very unique and talented musicians. That being said\, Sleep answers to an incredible recorded history\, literally decades in the making\, so it would not be surprising that Al\, Dale and Bubba would find themselves composing in the spirit of that which had been established so long ago. The three of them were able to make an album that can truly be identified as genuine Sleep music\, yet with a sharpness and agility to the recordings.

SUMMARY:Drink The Sea
DESCRIPTION:Drink The Sea began three years ago in 2022\, when Alain and Barrett jammed at Barrett’s studio in Olympia\, WA just to see what kind of magic they could conjure together. Two years later\, Barrett and Duke toured together in England and Iceland\, before recording additional songs in Reykjavik. After that\, Barrett\, Duke\, and Peter met in Sao Paulo to record more songs\, which continued with Alain joining them in Joshua Tree\, and then some additional recording at Alain’s studio in Santiago\, Chile. Final production happened at Barrett’s studio in Olympia\, WA\, and mixing took place in Barcelona\, Spain. The two debut albums the band recorded were literally recorded around the world. \nTaking their name from a lyric that Duke wrote\, the albums are produced and mixed by Barrett and Alain and reflect the members vast experience as songwriters\, arrangers\, and singers. It also shows a strong world music influence that permeates the music\, because although the songs are built around traditional guitar\, bass\, and drums configurations\, the songs also shimmer with the sounds of Arabic oud\, Indian sitar\, Indonesian gamelans\, and various exotic percussions like Brazilian surdo\, frame drum\, vibraphone\, marimba\, and kalimba. \nThe band will begin touring in October of 2025\, and the first single will be released on May 23rd with new singles following every two weeks. The two albums will be released on September 19th and October 3rd\, respectively.
