One of the most thought-provoking horror films of all time now is…a musical. SAW The Musical hilariously captures the events of the first movie\, parodying the Saw that started it all\, following from where Lawrence Gordon and Adam Stanheight find each other for the first time in the bathroom trap. Will they follow “the rules” as they discover each other’s secrets? Will they escape the game in time and saw right through? A love story with fluidity (and lots more fluids)\, SAW The Musical: The Unauthorized Parody of Saw is Little Shop of Horrors meets Avenue Q\, pushing the boundary on sexuality and how to love. \nThe show is recommended for audience 16+. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted in the theatre. Parental discretion is strongly advised due to adult themes. Though there is certainly blood\, gore is minimal in this show being a parody.  \nSAW The Musical is currently planning/booking its 24 month+ National Tour launching in Los Angeles February 2024\, after opening Off-Broadway September 16th 2023. Originally only planned through January 1st 2024\, the show has now been extended twice in New York\, currently until June 23rd 2024 (www.sawthemusical.com).

DESCRIPTION:A big “thank you!” to our friends at White Rabbit for hosting this event with us! \nThere are three dinner times to choose from (4:30 pm\, 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm) with 20 spots at each dinner. Choose the time that works for you! You’ll enjoy a delicious family-style dinner prepared by James Beard nominee Sarah Kelly while supporting our essential\, effective\, and empowering nonprofit! You are welcome to come early and/or stay late and rock out in the parking lot while enjoying some refreshments. The parking lot will be activated from 4-9 pm with tasty appetizers\, beer\, NA refreshments\, and wine donated by Amphora Wine. There will be a mix of original and cover tunes provided by awesome Boise Rock School youth bands throughout evening. We will also have a small silent auction with some incredible items! \nAs a 501(c)-3\, our annual budget comes from a mix of program revenue and charitable support. We simply could not do what we do without the generous charitable support of our community. This event is an awesome chance for you to support our organization\, while having an incredible experience. All proceeds will benefit our robust scholarship program and impactful outreach programming. We never turn any student away for inability to pay\, and scholarship dozens and dozens of students every month — we also bring critical music education to underserved communities such as: Ada County Juvenile Detention Center\, and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital School. Arts education is for everyone! \nEach ticket includes your awesome White Rabbit dinner and wine! Vegetarian options will be available 🙂 \nThis event is all-ages!!! DESCRIPTION:Place\n4750 SOUTH SURPRISE WAY\nEastwind Community Church\nBoise\, ID US 83716\n\n\n\n\nDescription\n\n\nPlease join us on Saturday morning\, May 18\, for the 2024 Kick for Kenya and Clean Water 5K! \nRun or walk for a cause – proceeds from this year’s race will be used to help fund planning\, training\, pilot projects\, and/or additional land acquisition for eventual construction and development of a community center in rural eastern Kenya in partnership with Kenya Kids (US-based nonprofit)\, the Touch Africa Child Education Project (TACEP\, a Kenyan NGO)\, and the local community. A small plot of land ideally situated for the community center has been identified and purchased by TACEP\, with right of first refusal to purchase additional adjacent acreage. The long-term vision for the center includes TACEP field staff offices with dedicated space for tutoring and counseling\, educational and vocational training\, agricultural demonstration plots\, and on-site housing for children or families in need and/or short-term international visitors. Any excess funds raised will be invested where needed most\, in particular to provide educational opportunities\, improve public health\, and address the compounded effects of several consecutive years of extreme weather (a prolonged drought followed by recent flooding)\, which has led to food and water insecurity throughout the region. \nRace Notes:\n\n\nRegistration\, Entry Fees\, and Donations\n\nEarly bird pricing is $35 (the cost to provide a K-8 child in Kenya with education for a month) per entrant registered by Sunday\, May 12.\n\nNote that $25 of the $35 entry fee is considered tax deductible.\n\n\nEntry fee goes up to $45 (cost to provide day high school for a child in Kenya) through raceday morning.\nAdditional donations (any amount) also welcome.\nAlthough race day registration will be available\, pre-registration is highly encouraged so we can start on time and ensure we have sufficient bib numbers\, timing chips\, and post-race food for everyone!\n\n\n\nPacket Pickup and Parking\n\nPre-race packet pickup will be available at two times and locations:\n\nEastwind Community Church lobby (4750 S Surprise Way\, Boise\, ID  83716) before and after the 9:30 AM\, 11 AM\, and 5:01 PM services on Sunday\, May 12\nFleet Feet Treasure Valley’s Meridian location in The Village (3573 E. Each week\, we’ll put together a different series of art experiences that will engage and inspire your child to create\, problem solve\, explore and think critically\, all while having so much fun that they won’t even realize they’re learning! With a full week together\, we’ll have the chance to work on longer projects that are often time-prohibitive in a regular classroom\, plus exciting hands-on activities that encourage creative thinking and are catered to your child’s development level. Every week will include at least 3 hours in the Cat Clay studio\, plus 12 hours in the Cat classroom\, with projects that may include drawing\, acrylic painting\, watercolors\, wax-resist\, mixed-media\, sculpture\, collage\, printmaking\, cyanotype prints\, fiber arts\, design\, art history\, and more! Looking for a specific medium/skill? Feel free to add your requests at checkout. Enroll your child in morning\, afternoon\, or a full day! Every week will be a new experience\, so your art-loving kiddo can attend more than one week for a full summer of creativity and structured fun! Your child will learn from several of our teachers\, each in their own area of expertise. All supplies and snacks will be provided. (Please provide a sack lunch if your child will be with us from 12-1pm.) Ceramic pieces will need to be picked up at a later date after being fired in our kilns. Students should be dropped off/picked up at the Catalyst classroom within 15 minutes before and after each class day\, according to your plan.
