The acclaimed builder\, designer and all around good guy is quite famous his hit t.v. show better known as Overhaulin’ that aired from 2004 to present. Chip attended his first Roadster Show in `04\, so this will mark the 20th year since he initially set foot inside Expo Idaho. \nAmong countless awards and titles he has received over the years\, Chip was acknowledged as Master-Builder at the 2005 Roadster Show when he and Ken Reister teamed up to create the “Impression” 1936 Ford roadster. This remarkable build swept the Ridler\, America’s Most Beautiful Roadster\, Boise’s Goldmark award\, among many\, many other special honors. \nIf you haven’t had a chance just yet\, be sure and read more about Chip and an amazing career on his website at Foose Design. \nChip will host a meet `n greet on Sat.\, March 9\, from noon till 6 pm. \nAs Idaho’s premiere motorsport’s experience\, the event will fill all three buildings at the Expo Idaho indoor facility. \nEvery entry that participates in the show wins an award. The top prize of the Roadster Show is known coast-to-coast as the Goldmark. The Goldmark will go to the one entry deemed “Best of the Best’. The Goldmark wins a cash prize\, along with an embroidered jacket and special award statue. The “Essence of Cool”\, Trendsetter\, Wild One\, Fire Rod\, Mighty Fine\, Tompkins Cup\, Jack’s Pick\, and more will also be handed out during the award ceremonies. \nA tradition at the Roadster Show every March\, the New family will also reveal an honoree for the Master-Builder award\, too. SUMMARY:Young Dubliners
DESCRIPTION:The Young Dubliners are quite possibly Celtic rock’s hardest working band\, playing hundreds of shows to thousands of fans across the US and Europe every year. In recent years they have twice appeared on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!\, had songs featured in TV shows (Sons Of Anarchy\, Human Target) and toured extensively as a headliner and as the opener for such a diverse list of artists as The Flaming Lips\, Collective Soul\, Jethro Tull\, Johnny Lang and many more. \nAlthough the Young Dubliners sound is most commonly called ‘Celtic Rock’\, that label\, as labels often can be\, is misleading. The Irish influence is there\, certainly\, but it’s not the only influence that rears its head on their albums\, or in live shows. After all\, several of the band members have no Irish roots of any kind. “That was always the idea”\, Keith Roberts\, lead singer for the band explains. “The sound was always intended to be a hybrid because we all come from different backgrounds. Even though two of us are from Ireland\, a lot of the music we listened to growing up wasn’t Irish at all\, but when we got here\, we got homesick and developed a new appreciation for Irish Music. In truth the Celtic riffs can just as easily come from the American band members. Everyone writes now so you never know what you’ll end up with when you start on a new album. \nThe band has just released their brand new studio album\, NINE. It contains ten brand new original songs with the usual blend of themes and tempos to keep the listener captivated. This was a unique experience for the band as they released it independently for the first time in their career. \n“We had a few offers but decided we were well overdue to take things into our own hands\,” says Roberts\, “After eight albums on various labels it just seemed right to go it alone for once and maintain full creative control.” \nHowever ‘going it alone’ did not mean without financial support and for that they turned to their fans. After only two weeks the band had received over half the necessary funds to complete the recording\, manufacturing and marketing plan for the album and work began on February 1st\, 2012. The road intervened as is usual for this non-stop touring band and the recording process was put on temporary hold as they commenced a long US summer tour followed by a month long European Fall run. \nNow\, with the Album finally hitting the streets on March 4th\, the Dubs are out on the road again in support. \n“Having a whole album of new songs really invigorates the live show for us and makes it exciting all over again” say Roberts. “It’s like a shot in the arm every time we go through this process”.

At the Pulse Endurance Runs\, you can enjoy nature while running on a beautiful flat dirt trail 2 1/2 mile loop bordering the Boise River and Eagle Island pond. This is a great course to get your first ultra\, anywhere from a 50K to 100 miles and beyond! \nThe Race\nThe Pulse Endurance Runs are a beautiful and flat fixed-time race held at Eagle Island State Park\, 8 miles west of Boise\, Idaho. Test yourself against the clock and some of the northwest’s top timed event runners at Idaho’s premier timed race on a flat\, dirt trail. Set a goal and achieve it\, running as many miles as you can in 48\, 24\, 12\, or 6 hours. Or\, sign up for the 100 mile fixed-distance option! We added the Relay back so bring your friends and run with up to 5 of your friends. Contact the RD if you’re signing up for the Relay and have less than 5 runners and I will adjust the price accordingly. This must be done prior to registering.\nCome for fun\, or come for speed….just bring your smiles!\nNo refunds will be provided\, including in the event of a cancellation outside of the organizers control.\nYOU MUST BE REGISTERED BY MARCH 3rd TO BE GUARANTEED FINISHERS SCHWAG \nRace Times\nWe have a lot of event options.
