Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day with Our Burger Joint Guide

cheeseburger

Earlier this week, we celebrated “National Eat a Hoagie Day,” and following that same theme, September 18th has been designated National Cheeseburger Day. The Treasure Valley is home to many restaurants that feature burgers. We’ve compiled a list of area eateries that we know have cheeseburgers. While care was taken to include as many restaurants as possible, there’s a high likelihood we’ve overlooked a place or two. Feel free to connect with us on social media if we’ve missed your favorite!

On to the list of burger places listed by location. And, we assume most everyone is familiar with Freddy’s or McDonald’s, so you won’t see them on the list below.

Multiple Locations

5 Guys

https://www.fiveguys.com/
Serving up handcrafted burgers and fries since 1986, Five Guys is a national franchise with several locations in the Treasure Valley. They have delicious made-to-order burgers that you can customize however you like. A word of warning call ahead to order or you may wind up waiting a while for your meal since everything is prepared fresh.

Big Jud’s

https://www.bigjuds.com/
Big Jud’s has been featured on Travel Channel’s “Man Vs. Food” for its “Big Jud’s Challenge.” They offer a variety of great burgers to suit just about any taste. Two locations in the Treasure Valley to serve you in Boise and Meridian. Here’s an insider tip: Order the “Big Jud Special” with an extra drink. There’s enough food for two people to share.

Boise Fry Co.

https://www.boisefrycompany.com/
Here’s a restaurant that considers fries the main course and burgers are the side dish. However, their burgers are certainly good enough to be the star. Known for their sauces, Boise Fry is a local franchise, with multiple locations around the valley, that features a variety of French fries and then burgers made of your choice of protein. Choose from beef, bison, turkey, a vegan patty or a “funguy” patty that includes a mix of beef and mushroom.

Good Burger

https://itsagoodburger.com/
Good Burger is a locally founded chain that is starting to expand outside the region. They feature about ten burgers on their menu and have a daily special which is creation of their chef. If you like spice, their Jalapeño burger is really good.

The Habit Burger Grill

https://www.habitburger.com/
A franchise out of California, the Habit is probably as close to In-N-Out as one is going to find locally. They offer a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and salads that are sure to satisfy any burger-craving desire. And they call their burgers “charburgers” since they’re chargrilled over open flame.

In-N-Out Burger

https://www.in-n-out.com/
A fantastic burger joint from California, they pride themselves on serving up delicious burgers with fresh ingredients. In fact, they require their locations to be in close proximity to their distribution centers. So, while people here in the valley are clamoring for In-N-Out, they don’t currently have a location in Idaho. Rumors abound that they’re going to be here at some point, especially as more people move here. We can hope. Until then, if you happen to visit them in another state, get a “Double-Double Animal Style” with “Animal Style” fries. Don’t forget to get a shake.
