After a long day at the office, many people like to partake in happy hour at local Boise area bars and restaurants, indulging in discounted drinks and food. We’ve put together a list of some of the best happy hour in Boise locations.

We’ll be updating this happy hour guide periodically. While every attempt is made to ensure it’s accurate, establishments update their offerings without notice, so be sure to check with them for their most up-to-date happenings.

Happy Hour Locations Around Boise


Daily, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Barbacoa is known for having an eclectic collection of art and décor and fantastic food and drink. Barbacoa’s Happy Hour includes buy-one, get-one-free food options. They also have a late-night happy hour when they discount drinks.

Boise and Eagle locations
Sunday – Thursday, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Bardenay offers discounts on a selection of food options during its happy hour.

Ruth’s Chris
Daily, 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the Bar

Known for its mouthwatering steaks, Ruth’s Chris has a pretty amazing happy hour that features discounts on food and drinks consumed in their bar area.

Capitol Cellars
Monday – Saturday, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Located in the cellar of a building on the corner of 5th and Main in downtown Boise is Capitol Cellars, an upscale restaurant offering discounts on certain mixed drinks, wine, and beer.

Monday – Friday, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Located in Hotel 43, Chandler’s is a high-end restaurant known for its steaks and seafood. During the week, it offers a happy hour menu of delicious small plates and creative cocktails at special happy hour pricing.

The Cheesecake Factory
Monday – Friday, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. in the Bar

The Cheesecake Factory has a lot of delicious cheesecake varieties. The restaurant also includes a selection of food and drink specials for those dining in its bar.

Cottonwood Grille
Sunday – Friday, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The Cottonwood Grille offers a selection of seasonal Northwest fare, specializing in tantalizing steak and seafood dishes.

Happy Hour offerings include discounts on cocktails, wine, and beer, as well as a modest selection of appetizers.

Crave Kitchen and Bar
Monday – Friday, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Crave Kitchen and Bar is a new restaurant in Eagle that offers a variety of cravable delights. For happy hour, patrons can enjoy a buy one get one 50% off drink special. The 50% off is applied to drinks that are equal or lesser value.

  • Boise Downtown: Monday – Friday 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. – Close
  • Boise Bown Crossing: Monday – Friday 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Eagle: Monday – Friday 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Friday – Saturday 9 p.m. – Close

All locations offer 30% off cocktails, drafts, and wines by the glass with food specials.

Monday – Friday, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Friday – Saturday, 10 p.m. – Close

Juniper’s Happy Hour includes a selection of two for one cocktails, discounts on beer and wine, and a special food menu that consists of some appetizers and pizzas.

Kona Grill
Monday – Friday, 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Monday – Thursday, 9 p.m. to Close

Kona Grill offers happy hour during the workweek that features a robust selection of food and drink options for $3, $6, and $9. Featuring island-inspired cuisine, the poke bowls, sushi, and fish tacos shouldn’t be missed.

Ling and Louie’s
Daily food specials from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Drink specials daily 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Ling and Louie’s serves delicious Asian fare featuring sushi, and other wok’d favorites. Happy Hour favorites include sushi and appetizer selections and discounted drinks throughout the restaurant.

Boise and Meridian
Daily, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. – Close

Matador has two locations in the Treasure Valley that offer discounted drinks and food offerings for patrons. Frozen margaritas are a must-try as well as their guacamole. For those who like it hot, the Habanero Shrimp are delicious and shouldn’t be missed.

Owyhee Tavern
Monday – Friday, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Tuesday – Saturday, 9 p.m. – Close

The Owyhee Tavern in downtown Boise is renowned for its steak and seafood. Happy hour offers diners an opportunity to enjoy discounts on select beer, wine, and cocktails, as well as great pricing on bar menu items. Try the Chimichurri Fries and the Prime Beef Fondue.

Tavern at Bown Crossing
Monday – Friday, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Brought to you by the same team that founded the Owyhee Tavern, the Tavern at Bown Crossing features a slightly different menu and offerings than the downtown location. Drink specials are $5 and include select cocktails, draft beers, and wine.

For dining, oysters on the half shell and prime steak bites are delicious options. The Mini Pot Roast nachos are an excellent choice, as well.

Tavern at Eagle Island
Monday – Friday, 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

The third “Tavern” location in the valley, this location combines offerings from both Boise locations.

Tupelo Honey
Monday – Friday, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Tupelo Honey serves up responsibly sourced Southern-inspired cuisine and cocktails. Its happy hour includes a modest selection of drinks and food options.

The Crispy Brussels are delicious and shouldn’t be missed, even if you’re not a fan of Brussel sprouts.

Twig’s Bistro and Martini Bar
Daily, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday – Saturday, 9 p.m. – Close

Twig’s offers an upscale dining experience for patrons. During happy hour, the restaurant offers food and drink specials.

Meridian and Nampa
Monday – Friday, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. – Close

As the name implies, Wingers is known for their wings and “fingers.” The restaurant’s happy hour offerings include $2 off craft pints and house wines with discounted food specials.

Yard House
Monday – Friday, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday – Thursday, 9 p.m. – Close

Known for its vast selection of draft beers, the Yard House also has delicious food. During happy hour, diners can enjoy ½ off select appetizers and all pizzas. Drink specials include $2 off beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails.
