9/11 Miles of Remembrance Run

September 11, 2025 @ 5:00 pm

family-friendly 5K in Downtown Boise

Every year Mission43 conducts the 9/11 Miles of Remembrance 5K on September 11th to honor and remember those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. This date also signifies the beginning of the Global War on Terror (GWOT) which many of our current and former military members supported.

In 2025, we invite you to join us on the Boise River Greenbelt for a family-friendly event that is open to the entire community for people of all abilities to participate. Feel free to run, walk, ruck, or handcycle the 5K route along the beautiful Boise River and join us in the social area at the start/finish line to include food and drinks, music, guest speakers, and fun for all.

REGISTER EARLY! You will be guaranteed your event t-shirt, which will be mailed to you before the event. EARLY REGISTRATION CLOSES AUGUST 1, 2025.

Other Information

Event Area:  The event social area will be held near the Ann Morrison Fountain in the middle of the park. There will be a large crowd attending this year so we recommend arriving no later than 5:00 pm on race day to get a parking spot and enjoy the pre-run social area.

Race Day Corrals/Groups: To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, our event features three distinct corrals/groups based on your preferred pace. Look for signs prior to the start and ensure you are in the one that fits you best!

  • Group A: Fast Runners – Group A is designed for our fastest participants. Expect a fast-paced environment with fellow dedicated runners.

  • Group B: Runners – Group B is perfect for those who enjoy running at a steady pace. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or participating in your first race, this group offers a supportive and energetic atmosphere.

  • Group C: Walkers – Group C welcomes all participants who prefer to walk the course. Whether you’re here to enjoy a leisurely stroll or walk briskly, you’ll find camaraderie and encouragement every step of the way.
