Backcountry Film Festival

Presented by Winter Wildlands Alliance, the annual Boise Backcountry Film Festival celebrates the power and spirit of humans in winter. Out of 100+ films submitted, our selection committee has chosen this year’s very best stories of backcountry adventure and snow cinema by human-powered athletes, brands, activists and adventurers.

Event Schedule

5:30pm – 7:00pm Pre-Party

Invite and hangout with all your backcountry buddies! Enjoy live music, get your raffle tickets, compete for prizes and in our Festival SnowSchool games, and enter to win a trip to ICELAND with Ice Axe Expeditions.

Fuel up with Piehole Pizza, popcorn, and drinks. Beer on tap purchases support Winter Wildlands Alliance! 

Bring a coat to donate to the Indigenous Idaho Alliance coat drive.

7:00pm Films Start 

Grab your seats. Immerse yourself in films that celebrate the power and spirit of humans in winter.

8:00pm Intermission

Popcorn, drink refills, and final raffle entries.

9:30pm Films End

Raffle winners announced. Claim your prizes (must be present to win)! Afterparty upstairs at Hap Hap Lounge!
