State Fair is a fun musical romance set in the 1940s. It follows the Frake family, who head to the Iowa State Fair to make their dreams come true.

The Frake family’s father, Abel, hopes to take home the grand prize for his prize-winning pig, Blue Boy. Meanwhile, Abel’s wife Melissa hopes to win a blue ribbon for her mincemeat. Their kids, Margy and Wayne, have other plans—they both set out to find love at the fair.

Margy meets Pat, a reporter from the Des Moines Register, and begins to develop feelings for him. On the other hand, Wayne meets Emily, a beautiful young singer, and the two fall in love. They’re also joined by Grandpa, who’s determined to win big at the fair.

Will Blue Boy take home the grand prize? Will Margy and Wayne find true love? Can Grandpa win back his money? Find out in BMW’s production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s State Fair! It’s a fun, romantic musical that will leave you wanting more.
