Experience a night you’ll remember forever at the Boise Water Lantern Festival, voted the #1 festival in the world by USA Today. Held at the beautiful Julia Davis Park, this magical evening brings friends, families, and neighbors together to light up the water with thousands of glowing floating lanterns, each carrying personal messages of love, hope, and reflection.

The evening is a full experience from start to finish. Gates open at 6:00 PM, with food trucks, live music, lawn games, and festival fun to enjoy as the sun goes down. Around 8:30 PM you’ll design and personalize your own lantern, then join the crowd for the breathtaking lantern launch from 9:00–10:00 PM — a serene, once-in-a-lifetime moment as the water fills with light. Every ticket includes a lantern kit, LED candle, markers, and the full launch experience, and a professional photo team captures the moment for free. The festival is proudly eco-friendly, with 100% of lanterns collected afterward and biodegradable materials throughout.
