Join us on May 2nd for a vibrant celebration of Mexican-american culture in the heart of downtown Nampa! Bound to be an unforgettable time featuring an array of exciting activities for the whole community.

Event Highlights:

– Taco Trucks: Because Tacos on Cinco De Mayo are a must, we’ve got you covered.
– Ride the Mechanical Bull: Test your cowboy skills and hop on our mechanical bull for a wild ride! Rodeo culture stems deeply in Mexican culture. Plus it’s free.
– Low Rider Showcase: Marvel at the sleek designs and vibrant colors of low rider cars on display.
– Live DJ: Dance to the rhythm of knowable beats spun by our energetic DJ Bounce, keeping the party alive all evening long.
– Family Fun Zone: Enjoy games, face painting (small fee), and other fun activities for kids of all ages.
– Maraca Painting station: Limited supplies! Call it a party favor. Stop by and paint a free maraca with students from the NSD.
– Ballet Folklorica Performances by Oyamel and Yareth.

About Cinco de Mayo:

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It’s a day to celebrate Mexican heritage and pride, not only in Mexico but also in communities around the world. While often mistaken for Mexico’s Independence Day, which is celebrated on September 16th, Cinco de Mayo holds significance as a symbol of resilience and unity.

Join us in downtown Nampa for a day filled with food, music, and fiesta vibes. Admission is free, so bring your friends and family for a fiesta to remember!
