Kick for Kenya and Clean Water 5k

May 24 @ 8:00 am

Please join us on Saturday morning, May 24, for the 2025 Kick for Kenya and Clean Water 5K!

Run or walk for a cause – proceeds will be used to help fund community development activities (e.g., planning, training, and execution of projects) in rural eastern Kenya in partnership with Kenya Kids (US-based nonprofit), the Touch Africa Child Education Programme (TACEP, a Kenyan NGO), and other local Kenyan community partners. Funds raised will be invested where needed most, in particular to provide educational opportunities, improve public health, and address the compounded effects of several consecutive years of extreme weather that has led to food and water insecurity throughout the region. Our Kenyan partners’ long-term vision includes construction and development of a community center with dedicated space for TACEP field staff offices, tutoring and counseling services, animal husbandry and agricultural demonstration plots, and hosting speakers/conferences for educational instruction and vocational training, as well as on-site housing for children or families in need and/or short-term international visitors.

Race Notes:
