Romancing the Pen

Looking for something other than roses or chocolates this Valentine’s Day? The Old Idaho Penitentiary is offering a unique alternative to your typical V-Day dates. Stroll through the site, snuggle up with your Valentine and find the true meaning of “ball and chain,” with special exhibits on love stories and love letters from the Idaho State Penitentiary, as well as complimentary guided tours throughout the day.

Romancing the Pen: February 14, 12:00 pm-9:00 pm (last admission 8:00 pm). Adult Admission is $10 each, or purchase pairs at a special 2 for $14 price!

Admission to this event is free for Idaho State Historical Society Members. For more information on becoming an ISHS Member, visit: https://history.idaho.gov/membership/

The site will be open for self-guided tours in all publicly accessible buildings. Dress warm and bring a flashlight!
