SONO FUEGO Live at The Local for Cinco De Mayo

SONO FUEGO (Ben Burdick, guitar; Grant Green, percussion; Dan Costello, guitar/vocals) reunite for Cinco De Mayo 2024!

It’s a rare opportunity to hear this fiery, fun trio in a concert setting, at one of the valley’s favorite dining establishments: The Local, 5616 W. State Street in Boise Idaho. The Local will be serving up a special menu just for this event, including $5 tacos, small plates and beverages.

Doors will open Sunday, May 5 (Cinco De Mayo!) at 1pm, with the concert running from 2-4pm and service wrapping up around 5pm.

This is a ticketed event, with limited general first-come, first-serve seating. Tickets will be available in advance through EventBrite ($20+fee) or at the door ($25). Each guest will also be entered in a drawing for a gift basket ($150 value! Must be present to win) of local beer/wine and gift certificates to The Local and their excellent dessert shop, Blue Cow.

While there may be tickets left at the door, we strongly recommend purchasing advance tickets, as seating is limited and we expect this event to fill quickly.

Sono Fuego derives its name from the word Sono, which in many languages relates to “sound,” and Fuego, the Spanish word for “fire” which has also gained numerous other implied meanings: excellent, spicy, sultry, unstoppable. The name implies a worldwide influence from and appreciation for music, performed with passion. No matter how you translate it, this talented, playful, entertaining ensemble has been a music scene fan favorite for years, bringing audiences their unique blend of Latin, jazz, flamenco, world-beat and pop styles through a tasteful but intense mastery of their respective instruments.

While numerous factors have kept Sono Fuego from performing more than just a couple shows a year together recently, this special Cinco De Mayo concert is a reigniting of the collaboration between these three long-time musicians and friends.
