One of the most exciting and inclusive athletic events in the Treasure Valley is back for another year. The 2026 Treasure Valley Triathlon takes place Saturday, June 6 at Esther Simplot Park in Boise — a circuit-style event held on a closed, flat course along the scenic Boise River. Organized by the Treasure Valley Family YMCA, this USAT sanctioned race is a celebration of inclusivity and community, with all proceeds going to support adaptive sports across southern Idaho.
Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned competitor, there’s a race distance for you. Events include Super Sprint, Sprint, Olympic, relay divisions, adaptive categories, and a Youth Splash and Dash — making this one of the most accessible triathlons in the region. The event also serves as Idaho’s state finals for high school and age-group athletes, with paths to state championships and national qualifications — and roughly 35% of participants qualify for Nationals.
Adaptive athletes compete free of charge, and registration is capped at 400 participants to ensure a quality experience for every athlete and spectator. Spectators are warmly welcome, so bring your family and come cheer on the Treasure Valley’s best athletes on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Boise River.
