Experience a true small-town Fourth of July at Melba’s “Olde Tyme” 4th of July, a beloved, entirely volunteer-run celebration packed with classic Americana charm. This year’s theme, “Spirit of 1776: Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom,” marks America’s 250th birthday — and as an official America250 Ambassador City, Melba is going all out. Best of all, it’s completely free to the community, made possible by donations and sponsors.
The day starts with a morning Fun Run before the parade steps off at 10:30 AM, followed by a full day of old-fashioned fun for all ages: arts and craft vendors, food vendors, a chicken round-up, a kids’ fairway of games, an antique tractor pull, and a classic car show. The festivities build all day toward what locals proudly call the best fireworks show in the Treasure Valley, lighting up the sky at dusk.
Bring the whole family, settle in, and celebrate Independence Day the old-fashioned way in Melba.
